My Second Trip to La Vista Highlands Resort: The Tale of Love.

La Vista Highlands Resort in Don Salvador Benedicto, Philippines – the land of breathtaking views, cool mountain air, and endless photo opportunities. I recently made my *second* trip to this magical place, and let me tell you, it was an adventure full of romance, ridiculousness, and a little bit of clumsiness (spoiler alert: I tripped over a rock while trying to pose like a supermodel).

First things first, this resort is stunning. It’s perched high up in the mountains, with views so beautiful they’ll make you question why you’ve spent so much time staring at your phone. (Ironically, I spent half my time there taking photos *on* my phone. Oh, the irony.) The air is so fresh that my lungs were confused at first – they’re used to city smog and questionable street food smells.

Now, let’s talk about the couple photos. Yes, this trip was a romantic getaway, and yes, I forced my partner to take approximately 1,000 pictures of us in every possible pose. There’s the classic “holding hands while walking away from the camera” shot (very Pinterest-worthy), the “pretend we’re laughing at something hilarious” shot (we were actually laughing at a mosquito attacking us), and the “staring into each other’s eyes like we’re in a rom-com” shot (which ended with us awkwardly bumping noses).

Pro tip: If you’re planning a romantic trip to La Vista Highlands, make sure your partner is patient enough to handle your inner Instagram influencer. Mine deserves a medal for enduring my constant “Wait! One more photo!” requests.

The resort itself is like stepping into a postcard. There are lush gardens, cozy cabins, and a pool that looks like it was designed for mermaids. I tried to do an elegant poolside pose for the ‘Gram, but instead, I slipped and created an accidental cannonball splash that soaked everyone nearby. Sorry to the couple who was trying to have a romantic moment – I hope you dried off eventually!

One of the highlights of the trip was the food. The resort serves up some seriously delicious Filipino dishes. I ate so much that my jeans were begging for mercy by the end of the weekend. But hey, when you’re surrounded by beauty and love, calories don’t count, right? (That’s what I’m telling myself.)

Oh, and let’s not forget about the cool mountain breeze! It was so refreshing that I momentarily considered moving to Don Salvador Benedicto and becoming a professional hammock tester. Unfortunately, reality called and reminded me that I have bills to pay.

All in all, my second trip to La Vista Highlands Resort was everything I hoped for and more. It was romantic, hilarious, and full of memories that I’ll cherish forever – including that time I tried to take a jumping photo and landed flat on my butt. (The photo turned out great though!)

If you’re looking for a getaway that’s equal parts dreamy and entertaining, this is the place to be. Just remember: pack your sense of humor, your appetite, and a partner who doesn’t mind being your personal photographer. Trust me, it’ll be worth it!

Spring is Coming: Time to Pretend We Love Nature Again.

Spring! That magical time of year when the sun starts to peek out, flowers bloom, and we all collectively pretend we’re outdoorsy people. Let’s be honest—most of us spent the winter cocooned in blankets, binge-watching shows, and eating snacks that were definitely not approved by any nutritionist. But now that spring is coming, it’s time to dust off those hiking boots (or at least take them out of the box they’ve been sitting in since last year) and embrace the great outdoors... for about five minutes.

The birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing, and allergies are attacking like they’ve been training for this moment all winter. Nothing says "spring" quite like sneezing 27 times in a row while trying to admire a cherry blossom tree. But hey, at least you’ll look cute doing it, right? Time to break out those pastel outfits and floral dresses that scream, “I totally have my life together!” even if you’re still Googling “How to file taxes” at 11:59 p.m. on April 14th.

Of course, with spring comes the annual ritual of pretending to enjoy gardening. You’ll spend way too much money on plants that you *swear* you’re going to keep alive this time. Spoiler alert: they won’t make it past Memorial Day. But don’t worry; you can always post a picture of your garden on Instagram with the caption “ ” before everything inevitably turns brown.

And let’s not forget about spring cleaning! It’s the season where we convince ourselves that scrubbing baseboards and organizing closets is somehow fun. You’ll Marie Kondo your entire house, only to realize three days later that you actually miss that one sweater you donated because it *did* spark joy—just not in the moment.

But despite the sneezing, the failed gardening attempts, and the questionable cleaning decisions, spring has its perks. Longer days mean more time to awkwardly stand in your yard pretending to enjoy the sunset while secretly scrolling on your phone. Warmer weather means you can finally ditch the heavy coats and start complaining about how it’s “too hot” instead. And let’s not forget about all the cute baby animals popping up everywhere—because nothing says spring like chasing a duckling for a selfie.

So, here’s to spring: the season of hope, renewal, and realizing you still have no idea how daylight savings works. Embrace it, laugh at it, and maybe even go outside for a bit (don’t worry, Netflix will still be there when you get back). Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a fake picnic to set up for Instagram. Happy spring! 🌸

Greenwich: Where Time and Space Collide (and Probably Trip Over Each Other)

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich—where science, history, and the occasional tourist selfie come together in one gloriously nerdy package. If you’ve ever wanted to stand on the Prime Meridian (aka the line that divides the Eastern and Western Hemispheres), this is your chance. It’s like straddling two time zones at once, which is the closest most of us will ever come to time travel. Take that, Doctor Who!

First things first: the Observatory is perched on top of a hill in Greenwich Park, which means you’ll have to put in a bit of cardio to get there. But don't worry—by the time you're huffing and puffing your way up, you’ll feel like you’ve earned the right to boss around time itself. Who needs a gym membership when you’ve got history to climb?

Once you reach the top, you’re greeted by a stunning view of London that’s worth the trek. But let’s be honest, you’re here for the real star of the show (pun intended): the Prime Meridian. There’s a shiny metal strip on the ground marking Longitude 0°, and people queue up just to take that iconic “one foot in each hemisphere” photo. It’s like doing the splits across the entire planet, minus the flexibility and potential injury. In conclusion, the Royal Observatory in Greenwich is a must-visit for anyone who loves space, history, or just wants an excuse to say they’ve stood in two hemispheres at once. It’s educational, it’s entertaining, and it’s a great way to remind yourself that time really does rule our lives. Just don’t forget to set your watch before you leave—after all, this is where time begins!@top fans
