Heading to London to deliver pieces of my works to the Boomer Gallery for the “Contemporary II” Exhibition! 🖼 This is my 1st Exhibit in London 🇬🇧 So, I am nervous and excited at the same time! It is on from the 17th - 23rd December🎄So, technically it’s a Christmas exhibit 😂 Artists from around the world will apart of it and I am one of the lucky ones chosen to take part! 💙

Just received confirmation from the Board of Examiners regarding the final result of my Master’s Degree in Photography! 😁 Getting the highest mark of Distinction with 78% blows my mind! 🤯 This is means so much to me personally it is hard not to get emotional 😭 I would like to give a BIG Thank you to my family, friends and teachers as without you this wouldn’t have been possible 🫂 I love you for everything you have done to make this dream a reality! 💙

Today I can officially announce the final result of my University Master’s Degree in Photography! 📷 I have been awarded…*drum roll* 🥁…Distinction!!! 🎓 Which is the highest mark you can get which is absolutely CRAZY! 🤯 I worked out that my overall average score is 75.75% 🧮 My assignments were scored at 73, 75, 77 and 78! Which looks like a stairway! 📈 I am feeling so many emotions right now it is difficult to describe! 🥲 I put my blood, sweat and tears into this and it paid off! 😁 It has been an absolute rollercoaster 🎢 of a journey with lots of highs and lows but I DID IT! 🤩 It is surreal to think that I have gotten this far considering where my mental health was years ago. On top of that, my proposal for a PhD has been accepted! 😆

I remember being on my previous degree course and although I got a First-Class with honours I was being told by 3 technicians/teachers who bullied me throughout the course that I didn’t stand a chance and that I am not good enough to do a Master’s Degree…I think my results proved them wrong ❌ I am SO proud of myself and it is incredible what I have done! 🥺 I can’t wait to see what the future brings because the journey continues!!! 💙 Thank you ALL for the love and support it means the world to me! 🫂

In this series of photographs, I hope to create a sense of un-real/real narrative, inspired by aspects of the ‘Sand-Man’ (1817) concerning fragmentation of the body and castration, where metaphoric symbolism shall be used to describe how the Coronavirus has separated us and taken away our freedoms. Freud proposed the idea of unheimliche (the uncanny), wherein the familiar is felt to be strange and discomforting. This concept has been a driving force within the work.
