During my degree I explored the emotions and relationships surrounding my mother's allotment. Showing the circle of life through the activity on the plot. Tending allotments and photographing them have been key elements of my family's life for generations. Both are born out of endeavour. Remembering those who once were and creating new sentiments for the future.

Since graduating, I have explored the plots surrounding my mother's and became acquainted with other members from the allotments during the 2020 lockdowns. The photos that are exhibited are a continuation from her book ‘Grounded’ and displays a combination of photos from her mother's allotment plot and surrounding plots.

For this work I used my medium Format camera, a Hasselblad 500cm and Kodak Portra 400 Film.

A sneaky behind the scenes picture of a photography I am exhibiting for the Silver & Light Analogue exhibition at the Canwood Gallery. Please excuse I had to crop my lovely square photo at the end to fit the poster size 💔
