The Twilight of the Mills, my latest three-screen film, exploring the work and legacy of artist Karl S. Wood, on view at Hub-Sleaford until November.
Presented as part of Common Ground: Sleaford Shared Stories, the installation brings together the work with Wood’s watercolours.
Wood was a prolific artist, musician and was imprisoned in the 1950’s as a gay man, when homosexuality was criminalised. His story offers a glimpse into a lesser-seen q***r history of Lincolnshire, alongside his remarkable record of the landscapes around him.
