As this sweet girl entered the world we noticed two true knots in the umbilical cord.

Despite its intricate twist, this little one showed absolutely no signs of distress and arrived safely into the world.

A powerful reminder of how uniquely each baby’s journey unfolds, and how capable mothers truly are.

Happy National Doula Week

I’m writing this high on caffeine while a laboring mum rests beside me.

To the birth workers, the space holders, the quiet strength in the room, you are so needed.

The ones who remind women of their power, who hold hands through uncertainty and who witness the most raw and transformative moments of life.

To those who pour their hearts into supporting, educating, and empowering families, you are changing the world, one mother at a time.

So glad to walk along side you.

As we close out this year, I’m holding so much gratitude for moments like these quiet, tender beginnings and families stepping into a new chapter. Supporting this birth and then capturing these first days as their doula has been a reminder of why I do this work, to witness and to honor the magic of new life.
Ending the year wrapped in love, softness, and brand new beginnings feels just right.
