Everything comes up to the surface in the end.
Like salt in still water,
what’s dissolved never truly disappears.
It lingers.
It stains.
It waits.
Truths we wish were shared, spoken.
Moments that never had the light.
Even the ones we tried to hide.
What we hold stays with us—
lodged in the body,
quiet but heavy.
It shapes how we speak,
how we love,
how we show up,
how we pull away,
how we protect ourselves without realising,
and where the weight begins to leak.
Truth has a current of its own.
Some truths stay submerged,
tucked out of sight.
But the ocean doesn’t hold secrets forever.
And when they rise,
they change everything we thought we knew,
surfacing exactly where it hurts the most. 📷 Shot on 35mm film in North Devon
