📍 Whispers Cafe ☕️🥪 (Lytham - Clifton Street) Whispers Cafe Bistro

Hello Bite Sights Crew!!! 👋😋

THE WEEKEND IS HERE! 🎉 It’s party time! How’re we doing?! 😂

So, I was wondering where to head for today’s review, when suddenly… a mini version of myself appeared on my right shoulder, leaned in and ‘whispered’ in my ear…

“Check out Whispers Cafe!” 🤫😂

I smiled and thought, what a great recommendation! So off I went! And it was my first time visiting! 👀

I wandered in and was greeted by a lovely young waitress, who showed me to my table. It’s a nice little cafe, right in the centre of the busy old Lytham high street. 🏘️☕️

Now, you already know the first thing I ordered…

A latte, of course! 😂☕️

Alongside that, I went for a chicken mayo sandwich. The waitress asked if I’d like to add a bowl of chips with it, and I thought…

“Go on then!” 😂🍟

Sandwich w/ salad 🥗 £8.95
Chips 🍟 £3.95

The latte was lovely, and I even got it in a different shaped glass to what I’m used to, which I thought was pretty cool! 😋

Then the food arrived…

And I was like…

“OH BOY… that looks like a lot!” 😂

I may have slightly regretted ordering those chips at this point! 🤣

The sandwich was basically a double-decker chicken mayo beast, and there was plenty to get stuck into! The chips were lovely too, especially once I absolutely covered them in vinegar. 👌🍟

The waitress was also really attentive and lovely throughout, which always makes a first visit even better.

By the end, I was STUFFED! 😂 I did leave a little bit because, unfortunately, I had finally been defeated. The food had won. 🥲🤣
Guess what I did after….Brisk walked 50 mins around Lytham (Not joking) 😂 Get them extra steps in!

Overall, a really nice first-time experience at Whispers Cafe! A lovely little spot in the heart of Lytham, friendly service and some good, filling grub. 😋💎

And remember…

If you hear a little voice on your shoulder whispering “Go to Whispers…” 🤫

Maybe you should listen! 😂

📍 Bennett’s Bakery (Ansdell - Woodlands Road) 🌳🍰

Hello ‘Bite Sights Crew!’ 👋😋

He’s back again with another post! 😂 You lot not sick of me yet?! 🤣

Today I finally checked out Bennett’s in Ansdell — and after hearing so many of you say how good it is, I thought it was about time I paid them a visit! 👀

I arrived with about 30 minutes to spare 😅 and was greeted by two lovely members of staff. One of the ladies even recognised me from the page, so we had a good little chat! 🫶🏻

For those who haven’t been, Bennett’s has homemade pies, quiches, cakes, soups, fresh sandwiches and plenty more. There was a LOT on offer… and believe me, I was tempted! 😂

But there’s only so much exercise I can put my body through to burn it all off afterwards! 🤣 Walking, tennis, skipping… I’m usually burning around 900–1,000 calories a day! 😂💪🏻

Anyway, I went for a beef sandwich on a brown bread roll, packed with salad — egg, tomato, lettuce and onions — and finished off with some mayo. 😋

💷 £4.25

I said cheerio to the lovely ladies and tucked into it on a nearby bench.

And you know what? Really nice sandwich! 👌🏻 It was exactly what I needed too, as it was my first grub of the day! 😋

So, if you’re in and around Ansdell, definitely give Bennett’s a visit and show them some support. A proper little local gem in lil’ ol’ Ansdell! 🫶🏻 💎

Another one ticked off the list! ✅

I also want to add as well - I visited Lytham Hall afterwards (As usual), for a quick coffee! I was sat down, and a lovely elderly gentlemen came up to me and asked if I were the local food guy off Facebook 😅 And for the next 5-10 mins we had a lovely chat. So if you see this, it was lovely chatting to you! 😃 Getting quite famous now, me 🤣

Anyway! Thanks again for the continued support all! Love promoting, and sharing my experiences out and about 👌🏼

Alright ‘Bite Sights Crew’ ! 👋🏻 How’re we all doing?! 😋

First things first… 400+ FOLLOWERS! 🎉🙌🏻 Thank you SO much for all the support! I’m still absolutely loving this journey with Cal’s Bites & Sights ❤️

Now, onto another little cheesy adventure… 🧀😂

Yesterday I popped back to see the awesome cheese duo Paul & Debbie, after my last post about their shop absolutely blew up! 🤯
📍 The Cheese Emporium (Wood Street - St.Annes)

So many of you loved it, and loads of you said you didn’t even know this little cheese shop existed! It really is a hidden gem. 💎🧀

And the best bit? Their business has been booming! 🙌🏻 Honestly, I find what I do so rewarding when I can help shine a little spotlight on brilliant local businesses like theirs. ❤️

They’ve also got some BIG plans being sorted very soon… 👀 So make sure you give them a follow and stay tuned! 🔥 The Cheese Emporium

Anyway… here’s what I picked up! 👇🏻

🧀 Smoked Red Leicester £5.37
🌶️ Red Hot Chilli Cheese £3.30
🧀 Brie £2.31
🍅 Poacher’s Pickle Chutney – with tomato, apple & raisins £4.70
🍪 Water Biscuits £3.95
🍰 A slice of Ferrero Rocher Cake £3.50

I felt like ‘spicing’ things up a little this time… 😉🥵🔥

My Auntie was straight in there with the Brie! 😂

Me? Well… I’m the ‘hot & spicy’ guy. 🌶️

…Okay, I’m not funny. 😂

The Red Hot Chilli Cheese definitely packed a punch! 🌶️🔥 But thankfully, it wasn’t quite as crazy spicy as I first feared! 😂

And paired with that Poacher’s Pickle chutney, it worked really well. The sweetness from the chutney helped cool things down after the chilli hit. 👌🏻

But I have to say… the Smoked Red Leicester was my favourite! 🧀😍 Really nice flavour and exactly the sort of cheese I love.

And of course… the Ferrero Rocher cake may have mysteriously disappeared afterwards. 👀🍰😂
