I've been so busy I've fallen far behind with posting about productions that I've worked on. This tbt came in very handy ๐Ÿ˜†

This time last year, we brought Kae Tempestโ€™s Paradise to the Chorlton Players stage.

A visceral, contemporary reimagining of Sophoclesโ€™ Philoctetes, Paradise took us to a desolate island where a wounded soldier, abandoned by his comrades, is suddenly confronted by the people who now need his help.

Itโ€™s a play about war, betrayal, power, identity and who gets to decide what a hero looks like. Ancient ideas dragged, kicking and screaming, into a world that feels very recognisably our own.

And thatโ€™s exactly why we believe plays like Paradise belong on our stage.

Theatre can make us laugh, escape and switch off for a couple of hours. But sometimes it should do the opposite. It should provoke, challenge, start conversations and leave you thinking about what youโ€™ve just witnessed long after the lights have gone down.

Weโ€™re incredibly proud that Paradise was part of our 2025 season. ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿน

I Made The Invisible Man has just won Best Long Short at the Golden Nugget International Film Festival in London ๐Ÿ†

Not bad for a film about someone you supposedly canโ€™t see.

Massive thank you to the cast, crew, and everyone whoโ€™s supported the film on its journey so far โ€” this oneโ€™s a big one.
