Say hello to the newest weapon in the VRN Visuals arsenal — the Sony A7 III 🎥📸

This is something I’ve been working towards for a while. After years of shooting with drones, 360 cameras, and smartphones, I wanted to invest in something that would take the quality and professionalism of my work to the next level — and this full-frame beast is exactly that.

The Sony A7 III is known for its stunning low-light performance, fast and accurate autofocus, and incredible image detail. It gives me full creative control over the mood, tone and sharpness of every shot. Whether I’m capturing street photography, property shoots, portraits, events or commercial content, this camera delivers the goods. No compromises.

This isn’t just about upgrading gear — it’s about levelling up the VRN Visuals experience for every client and every project I take on. I want to keep pushing boundaries, telling stories in more cinematic ways, and showing the world what’s possible when passion meets the right tools.

🎥 Today’s Shoot: Victoria Warehouse 🚁

This afternoon I had the absolute pleasure of shooting some incredible barebone space inside the iconic Victoria Warehouse in Manchester.

Using a combination of FPV drone footage and a full 360° walkthrough, I was able to capture every gritty detail, sweeping corridor, industrial beam, and cavernous corner of this raw, untouched gem of a space.

It’s still in its original, stripped-back condition — full of character, texture, and history — but the vision is for it to be transformed into something truly special: a multi-use event space, breathing new life into one of Manchester’s most unique landmarks.

The FPV drone work allowed us to fly through tight gaps and really showcase the scale and structure of the rooms in a way that a standard camera never could. Meanwhile, the 360 walkthrough gives a fully immersive view, perfect for future planners, developers, or potential clients to visualise the transformation.

This is exactly the kind of project I love doing with VRN Visuals — fusing creativity and storytelling with technology to help bring bold ideas to life.

One question I often get asked is: “What gear do you use?”
Well, here’s a little insight into the tools that power the creative engine behind VRN Visuals 👇

📱 Still Photography
Believe it or not, most of my photography work is shot on my iPhone 15 Pro — featuring a stunning Leica lens system. iPhones have come a long way, and in the right hands, they can rival professional DSLRs.
It’s all about knowing how to use the gear, not just how big it looks! I also like my clients to know upfront that I shoot with a phone — so you’re not surprised when I don’t rock up with a giant camera bag!
Quick, mobile, and discreet — perfect for fast-paced shoots, events, and capturing authentic moments.

🚁 Aerial Footage
I use two specialist drones depending on the project:
• DJI Mini 4 Pro – Perfect for smooth, cinematic overhead shots. Great for real estate, landscape work, and general scene setting.
• DJI Avata 2 FPV – This one’s a beast for immersive fly-throughs and high-speed sequences. Ideal for property tours, action-style edits, or anything where a wow-factor is needed.

🌍 360° Walkthroughs
For immersive virtual tours and property walkthroughs, I shoot with the Insta360 X4, capable of crisp 8K 360° footage.
This is the kind of kit that gives a Google Street View-style experience, letting your audience explore spaces interactively – perfect for estate agents or businesses wanting to show off their space online.

⏱ Timelapse
To document long-term transformations (like renovations, events or construction), I use the Brinno TLC300, a dedicated timelapse camera designed to run for weeks at a time, capturing every change — rain or shine.
