From quiet, intimate moments at home to a dance floor full of energy — this day was a perfect reminder of how beautifully a wedding can unfold across so many different spaces ✨

The morning began at Ambika’s home, where the atmosphere was soft, emotional, and full of love. Watching her mum gently help her get ready was one of those moments you don’t just photograph — you feel it. The kind that stays with you long after the day is over.

And behind the scenes? Every detail you see throughout the day was brought to life by Ambika herself. From the décor to the thoughtful touches woven into every corner — all handmade, all from the heart. (And because no wedding story is complete without a little chaos… a last-minute cake had to be found the day before — pulled off seamlessly, of course ✨)

Then came a groom whose devotion said everything without a single word. Portraits felt effortless… he simply couldn’t take his eyes off his blushing bride, and honestly, that kind of love does all the work for me 🤍

Add in groomsmen who clearly came prepared (yes, poses and all), and the energy shifted into something playful and full of personality.

The ceremony took place in a stunning church built in 1873 — full of character, history, and the most beautiful light pouring through every corner. And just when you thought it couldn’t get more special, mother of the groom surprised everyone with a rehearsed choir performance, telling the story of married life in the most heartfelt, unforgettable way.

And the evening? Pure magic. A live band, packed dance floor, and tunes for days… including one of my all-time favourites Pass The Dutchie — 💃

From start to finish, this day was layered with emotion, personality, and moments that felt entirely them. The kind of wedding that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.

A little full-circle moment today 🤍

Facebook memories popped up from Bark Life 8 years ago as their photographer and it stopped me in my tracks. It took me right back to where this all began… 10 years ago, sitting in a night class at Salford Media city College about to start my photography course, not quite knowing that picking up a camera would quietly change the entire direction of my life.

That course lit something in me. It gave me the push to start photographing families and their four-legged best friends — muddy paws, wagging tails, and all the love in between. Those early days shaped so much of who I am as a photographer.

Fast forward to now, and I’m living my dream, capturing love stories as a wedding photographer… And I don't take that for granted for a second

So as a little homage to where it all started, I’m sharing a few of my favourite doggy portraits 🤍 Some of these beautiful souls are no longer with us, but they are so deeply loved and never forgotten… including my own Frank, always my heart dog 🐾

It’s funny how the path unfolds — every chapter leading you exactly where you’re meant to be.

Proof that weddings don’t have to follow a script ✨

No first dance. No cake cut. No “we have to do this because everyone else does.” Just a day built entirely around them and family and friends brought along for the joy. Even storm Dave didn't cause a fuss for this beautiful couple, it was a perfect day!

Amy requested a rainbow dress code for guests that filled the day with colour and personality, to a love story that started with the bride proposing (LOVE to see it), every moment felt intentional, joyful, and completely unapologetic.

This is your reminder that your wedding can look however you want it to. Break the rules. Keep what matters. Ditch what doesn’t. Make it yours 🤍🌈

Friday the 13th… unlucky for some, but not for these two 🌟 for this beautiful couple it was written in the stars.

The very same date they got engaged became the day they said I do and what a day it was. Set against the timeless beauty of Ashfield house, a beautiful 270-year old venue with the kind of grand staircase photographers quietly dream about, the day unfolded with effortless charm.

Jordan and Cara filled their wedding with the most meaningful touches - From the groom wearing his grandads cufflinks, heartfelt speech commemorating his Grandads birthday, to having a cocktail menu, each cocktail named after their gorgeous dogs!

Style wise, the day had its own rhythm a soft lilac theme threaded through the details, while customised trainers made sure Cara was ready to dance long into the evening, and then there was the dress… Not a traditional wedding dress but the most perfect romantic flowing wedding dress that could have stepped straight from the pages of a Jane Austen novel. The moment the father of the bride saw his daughter for the first time emotion won instantly. I suspect I will be swooning over that dress for quite some time.

Entertainment flowed all day long - Guests enchanted by ethereal violin playing from Naomi that drifted through the rooms, mind-bending magic card tricks to mind tricks from Daniel where guests really did forget their own names for a moment 😂 and the kind of atmosphere that only comes when everyone is wrapped up in the moment.

A Friday the 13th wedding that proved without question that sometimes, the “unlucky” dates turn out to be the most beautiful of all.

A city wedding with the kind of energy you can feel in your chest and that unmistakable Manchester buzz adding it's own soundtrack to the day.🎶🏙 🐝
From the moment she stepped out, the bride didn’t stop smiling, really non-stop — the sort of smile that makes everyone around her grin back. 😁 💞 I mean why wouldn't she when the groom had made a book containing all postcards and letters sent to each other over the years 😍

Instead of confetti, guests filled the air with bubbles, who knew that bubbles could compete with confetti 🥳🫧
I had so much fun capturing pictures around Ancoats and it can be seen in the lifts, twirls and dips and to top it off we stopped at a pub before heading back to the party so S&S could catch a moment and a pint of Guinness together, it just cemented how perfect they were.🍻

A day full of joy, movement, and those perfectly unscripted moments that city weddings do so well — love, laughter, and a little bit of magic drifting through the Manchester air, finishing with a teary first dance to the Proclaimers.🥹

So excited to be at Victoria Baths Wedding Fair, venue close to my heart as someone who used to swim here and the last generation before it closed. To be here today as a vendor is so exciting! If you are looking at a venue to get married in I can highly recommend. ❤️❤️❤️

I love a Manchester wedding day and this was no exception but was exceptional!☀️
