7 years, two families, and a whole lot of love 🤍✨*

What a beautiful day at the stunning Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa for Jan & Michelle. 🥂💍

After 7 years together, these two finally said “I do” and you could feel just how much this moment meant to them.
Their own handwritten vows were filled with so much love, emotion and personality… and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. 🥹 Especially from the groom, whose face said it all as he looked at his new wife — like he’d just won the jackpot. ❤️

And then there were their two beautiful blended families, who were absolutely ecstatic to watch two of their favourite people finally tie the knot. The love, laughter and emotion between everyone made this day incredibly special.

A huge shoutout to the amazing team who helped everything run so smoothly, especially Karina, who worked her magic to arrange some extra time for portraits — something this photographer was VERY grateful for! 📸✨

And a special thank you to the lovely registrars Annette & Jane, who made sure the ceremony was beautifully organised and ran perfectly.

Jan & Michelle, your day was full of the things that matter most — love, family, laughter, happy tears and a whole lot of heart. 🤍

Here’s to the next chapter… and to a lifetime of looking at each other like you’ve won the jackpot. 🥂❤️

It was one of those days that reminds you that weddings don't have to be complicated.

The morning? Zero stress was seen. Just family laughter and a Maccies breakfast to kick start the day 🍟🍔☀️

Jessica told me she was nervous and "not photogenic".... I've never wanted to prove someone wrong so much. She looked absolutely beautiful in her puff sleeved lace gown, with soft window light pouring into her family home making every moment captured feel like something from a bridal editorial.

One of my favourite moments? The first look at their home when Matt walked in and seeing his smile spread cheek to cheek, this before leaving as a family for the ceremony. Such a calm, intimate start to one of the biggest day's of their lives. 🥹

Barnsley Town Hall gave us everything. Elegant architecture, the dreamiest vintage lift, iconic staircase portraits and endless editorial backdrops before we took a leisurely five minute stroll through the sunshine to their relaxed reception at The Garrison.
Every detail had meaning. Reserved seats in the ceremony honoured loved ones who couldn't be there. Jess carried her beautiful Mum with her through a touching brooch on her bouquet. The children were kept smiling with a sweet cart, whilst Billy Joel had the adults singing every word on the dance floor.
Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt forced. The day simply flowed from start to end. Full of laughter, love and the quiet confidence that these two found exactly where they belong... together.
If your worried you're "not photogenic" this is your reminder again that you don't need to know how to pose. You just need to be completely in love.
✨️Save this for Town Hall wedding inspiration and send it to someone planning a relaxed wedding day.

One swipe and one🧸emoji.... is where this beautiful love story began

From an emotional church ceremony to celebrating at the stunning White Hart all surrounded by rolling countryside every part of Abi and Alex's wedding felt like it was written for them.

Abi looked breathtaking in her lace gown whilst Alex looked effortlessly dapper in his Black tux suit. As he waited at the alter, all eyes were ON Abi the moment she walked down the aisle with her proud big brother in his Army attire - a moment people were reaching for the tissues.

But this day wasn't just about elegance it was about joy...

The laughter, the hugs, the happy tears and the speeches that celebrated what matters most.
Alex spoke so beautifully about his incredible wife whilst weaving in heartfelt appreciation for the family that shaped them both ❤️
The best man's perfectly written poem captured their journey from that first bear emoji to "I do" whilst Abi's Brother and the maid of honours impromptu speech had the room in tears as she spoke about watching their love grow, Abi's infectious kindness and how her determination as a marathon runner somehow led her to the greatest finish line of all... marrying the love of her life.

These are the moments I love documenting. Not just how your wedding looked but how it felt.

❤️ The quiet anticipation in the morning
🩷 The belly laughs
🧡 The tears you didn't expect
❤️ The moments you relive the for the rest of your lives

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Leach.

Top tips to delegate to your wedding party on your wedding day💫

Your bridesmaids are you cheerleaders and supporters so don't be afraid to give them a few jobs. It will help you enjoy every moment of your day. (a lot of these tips can be used by the whole wedding party).

🥨 Make sure you have eaten,
It's a long emotional day and you would be surprised how many couples don't eat until their wedding breakfast! Also have someone save you a plate of canapés, make sure you enjoy the food you provide.

💧Stay Hydrated
Have a bridesmaid remind you to drink water, it is so easy to forget between the days events.

🔖Remove tags and stickers
You will be surprised how many tags and stickers there are to take off, have someone do this morning of or the night before (don't forget to pack the scissors).

💄Carry your touch up kit and personal belongings
Lipstick, concealer, powder, blotting paper and mints, Phone!

👰 The dress, hair and Bouquet guardian
Have someone fluff your train before the aisle walk, if you have a veil have a bridesmaid watch the hairstylist put this back in.
Have a bridesmaid look after your bouquet after the ceremony, it is always nice to have in your couple portraits.

📣 Be the go to for suppliers
It is always good for suppliers they have a go to for the quick questions rather than disturbing you on your day. Also this can be invaluable for family portraits, the photographer won't know your nearest and dearest who can sometimes dissappear when group photos are being taken. Your bridesmaid if needed can round your family up making sure everything runs on time.

🎬 Protect the night before
Your favourite people are there to ensure everything is relaxed and fun. Enjoy that glass of fizz, watch your favourite movie (if that is your thing) ensure you get a good night's sleep.

Save this for your wedding planning and send this to your wedding party - they'll thank you later 😘

✨ A real-life fairytale. 🏰
I had the pleasure of capturing these as a 2nd photographer at this absolutely magical castle wedding, and what a day it was!
From the beautiful church ceremony to celebrating in a stunning castle surrounded by their favourite people, every moment felt so special and unique, I mean I have never seen a cake cut with a sword!!
One of my favourite personal touches? 🐶 Their beloved dog was included throughout the entire day! From adorable photos used as the table numbers to personalised coasters, their four-legged family member was never far away, even if they couldn't be there in person. It was such a thoughtful way to make the day uniquely theirs.
The laughter, happy tears, and incredible atmosphere shared by family and friends made this the icing on the Excalibur cake!✨

let's talk confetti and tips!
starting off with......
🎉 Paper Confetti pros - The traditional paper confetti for me is one of the most impactful on Camera and the new Biodegradable is better for the environment
That said there are a few cons to the confetti - Whilst beautiful some colourful confetti can dye dresses so be careful and test before using especially if it is a bit wet outside on the day.
Some venues prohibit use of paper confetti so be sure to ask when you are purchasing.
🌹 Dried flowers/petals - Pros A lot of venues prefer these to confetti as they blend into the landscape and there is little need to clear up after.
They look very pretty on camera and classic.
You can also make your own!
Cons - If purchased too early or not dried correctly the colour can drain and you end up with a light yellowy petal.
They can be hard to capture on camera if you do not have enough or too small (purchase enough to fill cones)
Lastly they get EVERYWHERE so you may need to nip away and shake them out before your couple portraits to stop the itch.
🫧 BUBBLES! - Pros well come on how pretty do they look! 😍
They are a work around if your venue does not allow paper or dried flower confetti.
You can do a lot more takes on a bubble aisle
Cons - small bubble tubes are not great there's just not enough for it to be effective on camera. If you are thinking of a bubble walk please please buy the bubble guns.
🎊 Streamers - Pros there is no clear up after.
They are another great alternative if your venue does not allow confetti or dried flowers.
Kids love them and your guests can take them home as a keepsake.
Cons - People leave them. I don't think couples and guests have as much fun with streamers as the above alternatives.
🥫Confetti Canon! - If you want to see nothing but colour a confetti canon is the way to go.
Great on a dancefloor
Cons - A LOT to clean, although one of my favourite images probably a little too much 🤔

My Favourite - The classic Biogradable confetti
Let me know which is your favourite and if this post has helped and if you would like reccomendations.

From the very first phone call with Debbie, which felt like I had known her for many years, I had a feeling this wedding was going to be something special... and I was absolutely right!

Debbie and Wayne are truly made for each other, and it was an honour to capture their beautiful day at The Parsonage, Didsbury. Steeped in history, The Parsonage is a Grade II listed building with records of the house dating back to 1646. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Fletcher Moss Gardens, it provided the perfect backdrop for such a heartfelt celebration.

Every detail of the day had been thoughtfully planned by Debbie and executed by her creative sister. From the stunning wildflower theme to the incredible saxophone player who made her entrance unforgettable, every moment reflected their personalities and love story. Guests were even able to take home a unique keepsake thanks to a talented live illustrator creating portraits throughout the day.

The atmosphere was relaxed, joyful and full of love from start to finish. A huge shoutout to the wonderful team at The Parsonage, especially the lovely wedding coordinator Catherine, whose hard work ensured everything flowed seamlessly.

With the sun shining, beautiful gardens all around us and the happiest newlyweds, it was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. If I had my way, I'd have spent the entire afternoon photographing Debbie and Wayne around Fletcher Moss... unfortunately, they insisted on feeding their guests instead. Pfft. 😉😂
