To finish the Wray's newborn family photoshoot, we stepped outside into their beautiful countryside garden. Surrounded by open space, soft greenery, and that fresh rural air, it was the perfect way to gently round off such a great shoot.

Bringing the family outdoors on my shoots always adds a different kind of energy, especially when children are involved. There's a sense of freedom that naturally unfolds - little ones can explore, move around, and simply be themselves. It often leads to effortless, joy-filled moments that you just cannot recreate indoors. This was exactly the case here, with laughter, wandering feet, and those spontaneous interactions that make images feel truly alive.

We also made sure to include the family dog, who was very much part of the story. Having them involved added such a personal and playful touch.

These outdoor moments brought everything together, creating a gallery that feels both intimate and expansive - a true reflection of this family 🥰

The Wray Family 🤍

This newborn session was such a lovely experience, capturing a family of four in the comfort of their own stunning farmhouse. We chose to base the shoot in their master bedroom, which offered gorgeous soft light and a calm, intimate atmosphere. The setting couldn't have been more perfect - neutral tones, gentle textures, and a peaceful energy that allowed everything to unfold so organically. It created the ideal backdrop to document those early moments with their newest addition.

What makes my newborn & family sessions so special is how relaxed they are. There is no pressure, no rigid posing - just genuine interactions, quiet cuddles and those in-between moments that tell the real story. Annie, the older sibling was free to come & go in & out of the shots as she wanted, and free to be her cheeky self, which always leads to the most authentic images.

My approach to every photoshoot is to let it be led by the clients. I gently guide when needed, but ultimately I want families to feel completely at ease, to move naturally, and to enjoy the experience together. Creating a comfortable, relaxed environment is always my priority, because thats when the magic happens - when people forget the camera is even there.

I could not resist taking a few shots of Frankie in this stunning Bluebell garden just outside their house on his newborn session. Surrounded by a sea of soft blue blooms, he looked tiny and perfect, cradled in the quiet forest of nature 🥰

Those tiny noses pressed together, the soft cuddles, and the way they melt into each other - these are the moments that last a lifetime. 🤍

The tiniest hands & feet, held by the strongest love 🤍

Baby Frankie, surrounded by his Mum and dad - safe, adored, and exactly where he belongs. This session was all about connection; the quiet, powerful bond between new parents and their little boy. From the way they held him close, to the gentle way cradled his tiny hands and feet, every moment told a story of love thats only just begun.

Meet Frankie - a beautiful baby boy with the most gorgeous head of thick, dark hair. This neutral-toned newborn session was all about capturing the quiet magic of his earliest days. There's something so timeless about natural-light portraits of children ✨

With soft natural light gently lighting their faces, every expression, sparklie in their eyes, and little smile felt beautifully authentic and full of life.

I always love keeping these shots relaxed and natural - no pressure, just letting kids be themselves while I quietly capture those genuine expressions that parents treasure forever. Sometimes the simplest setups create the most lovely images 💛📸

During the Dutchburn Outdoor Family session, this sweet little girl loved having her photo taken. She was full of personality, striking the cutest, flashing the biggest smiles, and making my job so easy - a natural in front of the lens already 📸

But the most heart - melting moments were the ones shared with her baby brother. The way she looked at him, gently cuddled him, and stayed close by his side showed a bond thats already so strong and full of love. It's clear she absolutely adores him, and capturing those early sibling connections is always something truly special.

These are the memories that families will treasure forever - the giggles, the cuddles, and the beginnings of a lifelong friendship 💛
