I’m Josh, a photographer from Cheshire, UK. Photography has constantly drawn my attention and I have always tried to find a way to capture the moments which surround me. Growing up in Manchester, with the city centre minutes from my door, I have been surrounded by impressive architecture. I’m fascinated by the history of the buildings and the stories they hide behind their walls. I love the divers
ity of the city; you’ll find people from all walks of life there. Stand still and you’ll feel the world rush past you on a skateboard or high heels as they rush to the office. I constantly notice the juxtaposition of modern-day life with a backdrop of historic buildings. You’ll find a lot of cars on this website. I’ve always been interested in the older styles; their distinct shapes, colours and personalities and I’m intrigued by their progression over the years. I used to be a barber; another creative profession. I see cutting hair as a work of art. The barber creates it and the customer wears it. I enjoy capturing it before it inevitably changes as the door opens and a big gust of wind blows it out of place. The next direction I want to take my work in is portraiture. I love seeing the raw emotion in people’s faces. I enjoy posed photos where the individual shows you what they want you to see, as well as more candid shots where you see something they didn’t even know they were showing you. I’m always open to new challenges and exploring new subjects so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to work together.
