Lets play a guessing game. This ICM photo taken at Lindisfarne has had a texture applied. The texture was created from photos of 3 very ordinary subjects. But can you guess what they are? Ive uploaded a larger image so you can zoom in to try to work it out :)

YOUR OPINIONS NEEDED PLEASE.
I often keep flowers after they die, letting them dry out naturally. I like the textures in their petals and they are given a second life preserved this way. I applied a digitally created texture to this image of two dried Tulips. The texture took less than 5 minutes to create from scratch, and I think it works well with these.

I recorded a video demonstrating exactly how I created this and other digitally created textures in minutes, to accompany my upcoming ebook - THE CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHER'S GUIDE TO TEXTURES & OVERLAYS. It will also contain links to other videos demonstrating how I create textures from photographs and more.

Now I was going to release the ebook with all the video links ( mostly exclusive to the ebook), plus textures and photos to create textures from. But I am wondering if some people might prefer it all in video format, where I talk through the books points, combining all the demonstrations etc, with one main video, but still keeping some shorter separate videos as extras.

I would love to hear your thoughts. This is my first ebook and its for you, so I should listen to what you all prefer :)

Do I release it as :
1/ an ebook only with the private links to mostly exclusive videos?
2/ the above but also offering the option of a video covering everything the ebook covers.
3/ ebook plus everything covered in shorter bite sized videos - say from 5-15 minues

I should add that this will not be a free product.

Which of these 4 edits do you prefer? I think I like the last one best?
If you would like to see how I edited these I have a new video on my Youtube channel - I will add the link in the comments because when adding it in the description it limits the reach of my post. The video is a slow real time edit for the first 2 edits then speeds up where any process is repeated. So its a little longer, but it is in response to requests for a slower edit to help people learning to add textures in photoshop.

With the right textures, colour and imagination, a photograph can become something completely different. This is exactly why I love experimenting with textures and overlays — they can change not just the background, but the entire mood and feeling of an image.
