This is why video matters.

Photos are great… but a smooth flythrough lets people *feel* a space.

Whether it’s an Airbnb, bar, restaurant, gym, office or event venue, video gives potential customers a sense of layout, atmosphere and scale in a way static images just can’t.

This particular shoot became my longest indoor drone flythrough yet — over 3 minutes of continuous movement through an incredible property.

The challenge with shots like this is making them feel effortless:
• flying through tight spaces
• keeping movement smooth
• avoiding mirrors 😅
• transitioning between rooms naturally
• and making the whole thing feel cinematic rather than just “a drone flying about”

The end result is the sort of content that stops people scrolling.

Close enough to be a bike...

Following an upgrade from the DJI Avata 1 to the 2 - I took the opportunity to test it out with long-time collaborator - Andrew Nairns on a recent ride down some trails.

Andrew’s used to being filmed and knows not to react… but this time I got so close it caught him off guard and he had to turn around and check what was behind him.

Flying tight, twisty trails like this - with branches everywhere - isn’t easy. Doing it at speed while keeping your subject perfectly framed is even harder.

But this is exactly how I sharpen my skills.

Because if I can confidently fly through trees at 15–20mph…
then flying smoothly and safely through your property at 2mph is second nature.

It’s all part of delivering professional results.

(but honestly - it’s also just a lot of fun.)
