First time I’ve managed to go out and photograph the round the island race and I am quite pleased with the results. Very challenging to photograph under the harsh conditions of the sun and heat but overall a lovely day out.

Some paths aren’t about reaching a destination—they’re about slowing down long enough to appreciate the journey.

One of the island’s perfect spots for sunsets especially just as the heather is starting to come through, also a perfect spot for seeing tomorrow’s round the islands race.

There are moments in nature when everything seems to slow down.

No noise, no rush—just a quiet sky and a lone owl gliding effortlessly across the evening light.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I carry a camera. Not just to capture what I see, but to remember how it felt to be there. 🌅

One from the archives of the fog and bluebells on Ventnor downs.

It’s an older image, but it’s one that reminds me why I enjoy landscape photography so much. Every now and then I revisit photos like this to look at them with fresh eyes, thinking about what I’d edit differently today, what still works, and what I can take into my next shoot.

Looking back at older work is one of the best ways I’ve found to measure progress. Sometimes it highlights mistakes, sometimes it reminds you that you got something right.

Photography is a constant learning process, and every image has something to teach you.

Thanks for taking the time to follow along with me on this journey.

Appley Tower in Ryde a couple of evenings ago. I love the way the light at sunset highlights the tower against the darker back drop of the trees.
Almost looks magical.

Sometimes the best moments in nature aren’t dramatic—they’re quiet.

A brief pause, a watchful glance, and just enough light to reveal the character of one of Britain’s most recognisable woodland birds.
