A whole week of editing time between weddings!! I'm finally having the chance to make decent headway into the editing pile. I've been grinning ear to ear looking through all the recent weddings and have very nearly made all the editing selections ready to tweak!

Jenny and Sam - two of the happiest, most smiley, people you could ever wish to photograph. I could have shared 30/40/50 portraits from this power 20mins out and about with making magic

If there was going to be someone that was going to break the wedding feed up it was going to have to be Marcus.

Insane to work with, even if it did give Mya a little shock to walk in the door from school to see a man in high heels with no trousers on bossing it in the kitchen!!

So much fun stuff to share on the grid with what I've been up to whilst weddings have been sidelined!! The additional strings added to the bow have been broad to say the least!

This is where we are right now.....
....THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THAT TUNNEL!!

[I thought I'd be clever and hunt out a tunnel photo from 2017...turns out this was in fact 2015!! WHERE DOES TIME GO??]

Love was never cancelled, it was merely put on hold. I was incredibly lucky to shoot a handful of incredible intimate weddings last year. I'm very much looking forward to shooting a few more of those in coming months as well as finally getting to enjoy the heave of a sweaty dance floor to come a little later down the line.

We have a roadmap! We have a destination! Let's all hope we can get there without any significant diversions.

If everything goes to plan, come the 21st of June god willing we'll be back to full size wedding cakes with surplus slices laid out a plenty on trays BEGGING to be whisked away. "Yeah, of course I'll take a slice for Mya and Evalie.... how very kind of you!!" (gobbles 3 slices of cake in a car in a oner and gets home buzzing my t**s off on a sugar high).

It has been a ridiculously tough 12months for so many people in so many industries both with and without adequate financial support. I'm glad for everyone we finally have something meaningful to look forwards to & at the same time I'm mindful for the many sacrifices and loses along the way that will result in key faces missing from celebrations to come.

Here's to a brighter 2021!! Good luck everyone!!!

Old Hunstanton on a gorgeous Summer evening at low tide simply never disappoints.

An absolutely perfect evening.

I chuffing love this frame. Super simple composition. Bucket loads of negative space. A KILLER sky and an absolutely gorgeous pair inside and out strolling effortlessly through it.

That's how long it took to pull the camera out of the bag, setup & dial a light in to then go from complete strangers to smashing this portrait out for Hayden & Holli.

I was at a poppy field to take some snaps with the girls and these beauts were just leaving as we were arriving. My sixth sense rarely lets me down and didn't in this instance; an absolutely lovely couple!

So 1min 48 is my new record to go from strangers to quick portrait.

I love little spontaneous mini challenges and loved them even more for letting a completely random bloke in a field with two girls take a picture for them.

Well…... where to start with the current state of play in the wider world!?

These are absolutely crazy times unfolding at the moment and I can only feel for couples that now have the added stress and pressure that the uncertainty forced from a limp government ‘advisory’ recommendation across the board is bringing to your wedding planning!

This next few months and beyond is going to hurt an untold number of friends and businesses within this special little industry. I can't imagine too many people being unaffected by it outside of it too - I have fingers crossed for us all! ❤️

“If you think twice before speaking once, you will speak twice the better for it”. I love that quote and I’ve done my thinking….

As long as we can shoot safely (no coughing in my face or I'll end you!) and without breaking any laws, I’m game. Further to that, if any bride or groom booked in for either this year or next work within the NHS service I’m throwing you a £500 voucher towards a wedding album…….just… ‘coz….. I can! (best perk of being a boss)!

Postponement is the topic of the hour and I’ve looked at a wide range of responses with how people are going about it. To make this as stress free as possible for you I’m going to recommend you get in touch and liaise with your venue first and foremost. They are more than likely your biggest bill to pay and if I was in your shoes, that’d be the first duck I'd line up.

Once you have some potential new dates (6+ I'd say) I’m recommending using Doodle Poll (free). Create a poll, add the option to enable privacy between respondents and send the link out to your suppliers to quickly gauge if there’s a date that works for most. If you look in the comments I’ve added a screen share video of how easy it is to do via the iphone app.

I’ve got the most awesome diary full with the bestest couples. I’ll look to bend over backwards to accommodate postponements and will be happy to deal with everyone on a case by case basis once you have some info from your venue.

I've made a specific google calendar available I'll share with all couples to be able to check my availability instantly to ease the potential stress of going back and forth.

IF we can move the date and you can maintain the payment schedule for the original date that would help me hugely, if you can’t… you can’t, we’ll work something out!

Huge thanks to everyone that has helped and continues to help push the business forward with the ridiculous number of word of mouth recommendations. The love and support has been and always is hugely appreciated.
