I can't really express the man hours me and Tim have put into just this weekend so far in the heat wave but we have almost two rooms complete upstairs in time for flooring to be completed and carpets fitted.

Painting has begun in my store room (The Hive) ahead of flooring next week too! The vintage star light was a pig to rewire and fit on a ceiling that high but it really does shine ⭐

Tim has done a superb job on the skirtings and far surpassed his own expectations but it does feel even more rewarding learning on the job and saving on the expenses where we can.

Can't wait to reveal more next week when the rooms should be completed and I should be able to start bringing stock back from storage at long last.

Phase 2: Kitchen/Diner Renovation begins next week too along with garden landscaping xx

A never ending list of decisions, purchases, decorating and aching muscles we never knew we had 🫣 currently nursing my lower back after another night of sciatica but orders will be dispatched later.
Today we're juggling a school home visit for Betty starting school later this year, landscaper starting our garden, gas engineers fixing our pressure release valve and plasterers finishing my downstairs store room! Along with work, ordering skirtings & worktops, cleaning and starting more decorating it's going to be a busy one in this heat! Thankfully the plasters drying out nicely.

Exciting to be nearing the end of this project and starting our kitchen knock through next week!! Can't wait to unbox the decor and style the rooms!

Sneaky peak at the latest progress in my downstairs storage/photoshoot room, also now named "The Hive". The rest of the windows go in today upstairs, steels have been ordered for our kitchen diner renovation too so that starts in two weeks! We don't do things by halves do we?!

We're starting the mist coating of some of the upstairs rooms, bannister painting and boxing up the kitchen contents this weekend 🫣 have a great weekend all xx

To say I'm upset is an understatement, Thai shouldn't happen. Those of you who work for a company who pay your wage, don't have someone come along and steal your wages. This in effect is what someone did to me over the weekend. I've done the hard work to get out and source good quality stock for my shop space only to have someone come along and steal it. It's utterly selfish and unforgivable.

This on top of a morning taking my autistic child to school after it taking a full hour to get him out of bed whilst dysregulated, prizing him out of my van and pulling him physically up the road in the pouring rain for him to latch on crying and screaming in front of all the other parents, simply because he doesn't want to go to school or changeover to his dad's house, having to have the staff physically tear him off me kicking and screaming was how I started my day. This is the reality of my life right now. It's hard mode, harder than most have to deal with but I'm showing up and supporting my family in every way I can. Most of which I can't disclose due to family courts but there's much more going on than needs to be disclosed publicly. To have someone steal from me after a morning like this was the straw that broke my back today. I know tomorrow I will rise again but today it was personal to me, I feel broken, fragile and full of disappointment. £65 in the grand scheme of things isn't much but the principle and moral code is everything.

Thank you to those of you who do support my business. I will fight on, I've been in business 15 years now and I won't be beaten down by selfish untrustworthy people. If it means I rethink the way my business is set up then that's something I'll be putting some thought into soon.

A ridiculously early start but done by 10am and back before the heat got too unbearable! Thankfully found some wonderful treasures which will be for sale very soon along with some keepers for our home extension/renovation project.
