Been busy working on other projects lately - please share my work with people you think might like it - because social media is kind of a waste of time if you're not somebody who likes to perform and pander ... or you have no massive reserves for promotions 🤣

Anyway, if somebody reads this far, I'm still fully insured as a Hill & Moorland Leader and nobody is interested in paying me for anything, so if you're a bit like me, like you're own company, aren't keen on big crowds - you enjoy the outdoors but never get asked to go there (or you just can't afford anything) - get in touch and we can sort something out 💚

Lone Hawthorn - Arms Tor

There are people who love Dartmoor (I know a lot of them) ... and there are people who would love Dartmoor, but somehow never quite get there.

Maybe it's money. Maybe it's confidence. Maybe they don't drive. Maybe they're worried they won't be fit enough.

Maybe they've just never walked anywhere like Dartmoor before.

Or (if you're like me) maybe they're simply the sort of person who would never think to ask.

Those are the people I'm looking for.

I got my Hill & Moorland Leader qualification because I thought it would be a good idea to combine my two loves - Photography & Dartmoor (unfortunately I have zero savings and therefore no budget to promote my idea and; I guess; like those people I'm trying to find, I don't have the right connections and I made myself a promise never to pander) so, rather embarrassingly, I now have insurance sitting around waiting to be used.

It seems a terrible waste. 😂

I'm not at all interested in marching people from one Dartmoor "must see" to another, ticking off a bucket list as we go and I'm certainly not going to tell you that a walk on Dartmoor will "transform your life" or help you "find your authentic self".

I just know that spending a slow day somewhere will leave you happier.

So if you've always fancied getting out onto the moor but haven't ... for whatever reason ... or you're just a little out of practise ... come and walk with me.

No experience needed.
No particular level of fitness required.
Nothing to prove.
No don't need to know what a tor, clapper or leat is, or which end of a camera you should point at stuff.

I'm also trying to keep this genuinely accessible. Pay what you can honestly afford.

If money is the thing stopping you, just say so.
You won't get a lecture and you won't get a sales pitch - I have pretty much nothing but if I can maybe help a single person find a part of the joy I experience when I get on the moor, then the whole thing might have been worth it.

I'm very opinionated, occasionally rather rude, quite happy to talk your ears off or just as happy for you to tell me to shut the **** up while we wander along looking at pretty things.

And yes, if you happen to be a photographer, I'll happily show you a few tricks along the way. 📷
