Mums are notoriously always the ones behind all the lovely aesthetic photos taken on days out, holidays, and just capturing those cute moments at home!

Mums, you deserve to be IN the photos! ✨ don’t look back when your children are older and wish you had more photos of you and them. This is also your chance to build a suite of memories for them to eventually look back on in years to come and have some beautiful special memories of their Mum 💗✨

Why not take the time once a year to do something lovely for yourself and capture those memories of you and your children while they’re still children and you can still throw them around and they want all those gorgeous cuddles.

You’ve just had your first baby, and you didn’t realise how tired, overwhelmed and how much healing you’d be doing in those first few weeks 🤍

The last thing you want to do (especially in the winter months) is take a trip out to a newborn photo session….

This is why my at home sessions work so well. You don’t need a fancy house or for things to be a certain way. It’s about your baby being in their own environment, with their own sounds, smells, familiarity…. Where they can be fed when they need, changed when they need, and you can be your most relaxed and calm version of yourself. Your baby is at home with your softness. Here we can capture moments that are calm, honest and connected 🤍

Your baby doesn’t need to fit into any schedule in a home shoot. I only allow one a day, meaning I can allow the time for naps, stop if needed, and just shoot precious moments in the those gentle pockets of time so you don’t feel stressed and set to a timeframe.

A calm baby is a photographers dream. The moments aren’t forced. They’re those tiny stretches, those adorable yawns, the quiet moments snuggled on your shoulder after a feed. Their fingers gripping yours.

I can’t wait for those Spring - Autumn days where you can get out in the soft golden light, beautiful countryside, the wind in your hair and your child in your arms… capturing their little laughs and silly games while they play and run to you - ugh, it’s dreamy.

It’s not about posing for the perfect photo, it’s the imperfect ones that end up being the perfect memories in the end. I photograph the chaos as it’s happening, in that exact moment, the moments you’ll want to remember with your children while they’ll never be this little again…

You’ll look back at these images and realise they were never just photos. They were your memories, of that exact moment, frozen in time 🌾

Double the cute - twins in the wild 🦒

Sienna stole the show whilst little Claudia was a bit more unsure. But that’s ok, I never force smiles or pressure little ones to “perform” for the camera, I just let them do what feels natural to them.

And guess what, we end up capturing the cute moments anyway.

🕊 What I Wish Every Mum Knew Before Their Newborn Photoshoot 🕊

You don’t need to prepare anything special.
You don’t need a spotless house, a picture perfect baby, or even a full night’s sleep (I promise, I get it).

Here’s what I want you to know:

✨ Your baby doesn’t have to be calm or quiet. Newborns cry, stretch, feed, and fidget. That’s their job. I’ll adapt to them, not expect them to adapt to the camera.

✨ Don’t stress about tidying every room. We’ll find the little corners that tell your story best. Your love will be what stands out, not whether there’s laundry nearby or left out toys.

✨ No need to practice poses. I’ll gently direct you, but really, it’s about you holding your baby just the way you always do.

✨ You don’t need to look like you’ve got it all together. The tired eyes, the softness, the emotion.. that’s the beauty. That’s the part you’ll want to remember.

You just have to come as you are. That’s more than enough.

Your story. raw, real, emotional… is already magic. I’ll be there to capture it all 💛
