Disguises! I have a policy of no actual faces on here so I can’t truly capture all the fun we had with these. Lots of laughter as we held our props against our faces and introduced new characters! Other ideas the kids came up with and put into action: storyboards, vehicles, signs. Our second activity was popular too: fridge magnets.

We had fun with these: using half a polystyrene ball, a kebab stick, feathers, decoupaged napkins and paper. The feathers were especially popular!

🚩It’s Beltane Week (Peebles’ festival). 🚩Tonight the 🐴 horses will ford the River Tweed, which is always a great spectacle.
At our after school art club the children enjoyed making horse finger puppets and tucking them up in their stables. 🐎

Inspired by the very changeable weather we’ve been having recently (sunshine 🌞 and hail today!), we made ‘weather indicators’. The concept of choices and deciding what they should be really appealed to the children.
