This was one of those shots I never thought I would achieve. I don't get over to Fort William as often as I would like, and seeing conditions come together this perfectly felt incredibly special. What a night for a photography!

A typical day in Scotland. Or so the world would have you think. I post this photo as I sit and look at the window, the is sky blue and wispy clouds fill the air. But... there is a lot of times where it is not so bright, and this photo depicts a typical grey day in Scotland.

I've been reminded lately that I need to share more on here. I don't tend to share a lot as I post more on Instagram now. I know that not everyone uses instagram so I'll try and be better. This will probably be a real mix as I have different accounts on Instagram for my wildlife and landscape photography, as well as any portraits that I might take. That way people can follow a particular style. Unfortunately I can't really do that on her so it's going to be a mix.

Starting off with a little Ptarmigan (for all my non UK followers, the 'p' silent) that I saw while hiking amongst Scotlands muros.

Ptarmigan are a bird that live in the alpine regions of Scotland. They are a game bird that is hunted at times. The cool thing about them is they change colour in winter to match in with the wintery snowy conditions of alpine Scotland. You won't see them unless you have a day up in the hills.

This storm was on the first night of our storm chasing adventure and buit up so much excitement for the week and a half to come.
