A bit of a wet start this morning but no stopping if you have young to feed , went to one location saw nothing , driving to another location and spotted this from side of road, pics show how big the barn owls beak actually is .

Today's outing , hilights were at least 6 pied fly catchers ,about 20 crossbills and a wood warbler ? I think. Also saw a merlin and a cuckoo but they both were too quick for me.

Set one of two,Found a new spot , nearly on the doorstep, spotted the stag first eating the bush , by the time I used me fieldcraft skills to get closer to it it had moved on to open ground with a perfect back drop, and then I found out it had 2 ladies with him too. Total of 5 deer seen , last pic another stag.

Great to see this Hare tonight with Paula, sad to see it looked liked it had the Hares version of myxomatosis.
