I haven’t properly picked up my camera in years.
Life pulled me in other directions, as it does. But recently, my daughter Leah started her A-Level photography, and I’ve been dipping in — offering the odd bit of advice, tagging along on her photo walks around London, and quietly soaking it all in.

Somewhere along those walks… something lit up again.
That little flame — the urge to connect, to meet people, to tell real stories through a single frame — it’s back. And honestly, it feels good.

So in 2026, I’m easing myself back into the saddle. Nothing wild, nothing full-time… just a few portrait sessions each month to shake off the dust and remember why I fell in love with this craft in the first place.

If you fancy helping me blow off the cobwebs in December or January, give me a shout.
No cost — just good conversation, a relaxed shoot, and a chance for me to reconnect with what I love.

Let’s create something real, and tell your story....

Some more shots from last weekend’s wander through Camden Town - it’s impossible to miss The Camden Zombie Punk. Anderson Garcia Rodrigues is a Brazilian street performer and activist who’s become part of Camden’s living landscape. His look is unmistakable: full punk attitude, tattoos from head to toe (including one in his eye), and that familiar spot by the Lockside Bridge where he poses for photos with tourists for £2 a go.

Leah had to stop the traffic so I could grab a few frames — looks like I owe him a few quid next time I’m passing through.

Another batch from last weekend’s wander around Camden Town. I stopped to chat with two fine gents from Sweyn Forkbeard – Purveyors of Award-Winning Male Grooming & Beard Care.

I just had to take their photo — two finer beards you’ll struggle to find, both impeccably turned out. We had a great chat, and I can vouch for their products too — I’ve been using their beard balm and comb for a while now, and they’re absolutely first class.

I never tire of wandering through Camden with a camera in hand. It has a way of opening doors and breaking down barriers, sparking conversations with all sorts of fascinating people.

Gary Kitching, it was a real pleasure chatting with you today. Shame we couldn’t talk longer, but I hope you enjoy the photos. God bless.

Summers end

Half farewell utter’d in her tender eyes,
Half promise written in the dusk she weaves;
She hides her truth beneath the slanting skies,
And whispers low among the withered eaves.

“The thief becomes saint,
And the demons, unmoored,
Scatter like crows startled at dawn.
Remember me.”

I call on thee:

They tore at him with fang and claw,
’til marrow sang with torment.
Yet in their shrieks he learn’d a tongue
that none but he may speak.

Now still they dwell within his breast,
unchain’d yet not unmaster’d.
Their breath is smoke about his lips,
their hunger sharpens his.

He names them soft, and shadows stir;
the night bends close to listen.
For what once sought to drink his soul
now waits upon his whisper.

The Edge:

Whispers whet into daggers keen,
And carves dim shadows where fair trust did dwell.
What once was twain in secret voice between,
Now echoeth loud through every chambered shell.

Yet Truth abides
Unarm’d, with patient breath,
For lies do run apace, with fleeting might;
But weary soon, they stumble unto death,
Whilst Truth endureth, steadfast in the light.

, , and form a natural chain that guides us toward . Life gives us the chance to grow and create meaning, love teaches us compassion and respect for one another, and unity binds us together in shared purpose. When these three are embraced as guiding principles, conflict loses its power, and peace becomes not just an ideal but a lived reality. If peace is built on life, love, and unity, then it’s worth fighting for. Not with fists or fire, but persistence: choosing patience when anger tempts you, holding empathy when division looks easier, standing for connection when indifference feels safer. It’s not flashy, but it’s the kind of fight that changes the ground we all walk on.

Logic Lane is a historic, narrow cobbled passage that runs through University College in Oxford, England. It derives its name from a former school of logicians once located there. The lane connects the High Street at the front of the college to Merton Street at the rear, both of which are also cobbled. At the High Street end, a short covered bridge, known as Logic Lane Covered Bridge, spans the passage.
