Heidi didn’t want her portrait taken directly. I gave her a shutter release cable to take her portrait and left the room. It was only her and the camera, and when she felt ready she took the portrait.

On the 8th of May, I had the opportunity to present my first solo exhibition, I am where I am at

Thank you to everyone who came, supported, and spent time with the work. Sharing this project publicly for the first time was a very special moment for me, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who made it possible.

I am where I am explores the relationship between identity, clothing, and domestic space. The project looks at how our bedrooms become places of self expression, intimacy, memory, and personal growth. Beginning with self portraiture and later developing into a collaborative project across Lithuania and London, the work examines how the spaces we inhabit shape who we are and how clothing carries personal and emotional significance within those spaces.

Looking back at these images, I feel proud to have shared this body of work and thankful to everyone who was part of the journey.

I also can’t wait to share the work that was presented during the exhibition. Many of these images have never been shown publicly before, and I’m excited to finally bring them beyond the exhibition space.

When I first started studying photography, I always imagined my work being displayed for others to see, but I never knew when or how it would happen. Over the past few years, I’ve been deeply focused on domestic space, identity, what it means to us, how it shapes us, and what the bedroom can hold.

Today, I’m really happy to invite you to my first solo exhibition, I Am Where I Am, on 8th May, 4:00–9:30 PM at Photobook Cafe 💛

This project explores identity, intimacy, and the relationship between people and their domestic spaces focusing on the bedroom as a place of self-expression, memory, and personal freedom.
Bringing together images made in London and Lithuania, including self-portraits and collaborations, the work reflects on how clothing and space shape who we are.
