Murals of Morlaix, Brittany, France 🇫🇷

These murals are part of Morlaix Arts Tour, a large open-air street-art project in Morlaix and the surrounding area. The idea is to combine Morlaix’s historic architecture with contemporary mural art, turning ordinary walls, buildings and urban spaces into an outdoor gallery.

Stripple Stone Circle is a remarkable piece of Cornwall’s prehistoric landscape, hidden in the open moorland of Bodmin Moor.

🪨A late Neolithic stone circle unique in Cornwall for being built within a henge — a large circular earthwork enclosure surrounded by a bank and ditch. The henge measures almost 70m across, with only 15 of the original 28 stones remaining. Despite some stones standing up to 2 metres high, they were set into surprisingly shallow holes of no more than around 0.5 metres, which may have contributed to their eventual toppling. A huge central stone, once nearly 4m tall, now lies fallen.
Possible alignments with the May Day sunset, Equinox sunrise and northern moonrise suggest the site may have been used to mark the seasons and observe the skies 🪨

A reminder that Dartmoor’s beauty isn’t always found in sunshine — sometimes it’s in the wildness, stillness and drama of the clouds. 🌿☁️
