Excited to share the video captured during the Earth Sciences field trip to Italy, for the University of Plymouth.

The 5 day trip took place over two key locations - the surroundings of Pompeii and Campo Felice in the Appenines, where students learned about volcanology and seismology respectively.

It was a really exciting trip to be on and I'm so glad I was able to capture some of the beautiful scenery.

Check out the field trip highlights video below:

Shot on the trusty Sony FS7, very happy with how this one turned out.

This year, the University of Plymouth's Sustainable Earth Institute hosted a showcase of their Creative Associates work in the new Sustainability Hub building on campus.

The Creative Associates project is a way for scientists and researchers to communicate their research by collaborating with artists.

Dr Claire McNulty, Senior Director from National Geographic, attended the event and gave a guest talk to the event attendees.

'Plastic Scoop', a film created using in-game footage from the hit videogame Grand Theft Auto 5, explores messages about climate change and denial.

The film was created by artist and filmmaker Andy Hughes, in collaboration with Dr Mandy Bloomfield, a lecturer in English from the University of Plymouth.

I created this video to go alongside the press release for 'Plastic Scoop', allowing the filmmakers to discuss the project in detail and provide context.

Really proud to see that one of the recent videos I've worked on has gone 'viral'!

A short educational video promoting a research story - a scientist at the University of Plymouth has been blending smartphones and chemically analysing the results to determine the raw materials used and their quantities.

Issued as part of a press release, the video has been picked up by news outlets such as the BBC, 5 News, ITV News and many more. It's also been chosen to be a Twitter Moment, which is a collection of the hottest topics of the day on Twitter. The video's been viewed well over 100,000 times across multiple channels already!

You can watch the video below:

Have you ever wondered what is inside your smartphone? We don't mean texts and bytes of information, but the chemical elements that make up the device in you...
