It was a fast-moving, full day switching between rooms and outdoor scenes, with our crew running cameras, lighting setups, and capturing every moment on the Sony A7IV and the FX6. Every shot was carefully lit, every angle considered, making sure every scene felt real.
What made the day truly special were the people. Children, parents, and foster carers all bringing warmth, honesty, and moments of genuine connection the kind you can’t stage, only create space for.

A day in the life of a Hundred Hands crew member — Episode One.
This one takes us to Dartmouth, where we spent the day filming for Fostering South West’s latest campaign, Do You Remember When, a project all about the power of nostalgia and the moments that stay with us.

From early setup to final takes, we captured 25 scenes in and around a cosy Airbnb, working with an amazing mix of children, parents, and foster carers who brought warmth, honesty, and plenty of laughter to the day.

Long days, lots of moving parts, and a few light-hearted moments along the way are just another glimpse into how many heads and many hands come together to bring a story to life.

It was a brilliant day! The children brought so much energy, delivering their lines with confidence while having plenty of fun between takes.

Creating a relaxed space where they could just be themselves made all the difference, and you can feel that spirit in every moment we captured.

Our relationship with has been incredible having our director previously worked there as a film teacher made working with children that much smoother.

One of the wettest and windiest days, we found ourselves setting up for interviews inside Tinside Lido. Wind pushing against the glass, waves rolling in, and even the main lift calling it quits more than once.

With the NYA (National Youth Agency), we created a calm, welcoming space inside the storm. It was fantastic to hear the stories from two incredible people experienced in the world of social working.

We got some beautiful interview footage and had some great conversations. The day continued with us filming the NYA’s youth work apprenticeship week event.
