A quick visit to to spend a couple of hours with these two wonderful human beings. A small ceremony of 6 important people to share their big day. A wedding doesn’t need to be big to be special. I feel honoured to be part of it.

A wedding reception at Bombay Sapphire Distillery well why not, even if it was a brief time it was epic. Must spend a full wedding there. What a stunning church with a confetti pony too!Congratulations Jane and Geoff. It was a blast.

I've been waiting so long to share this one... 🦚💙

I first met Lauren & Dave back in 2024, when they were only just beginning to plan their dream wedding.

They weren't entirely sure what they wanted yet, but one thing they did know was that they wanted me to create their wedding cake. I was incredibly honoured to be the very first supplier they booked. 🤍

Then, during one of our chats, Dave casually mentioned that Lauren absolutely loves peacocks...

I think I actually squealed...

"A PEACOCK CAKE!" 😂🤣

From that very moment, the design was set.

I couldn't wait to create this utter masterpiece, and honestly, I'd been counting down the days until I could finally bring it to life.

Every single feather was handcrafted individually, cascading from the peacock into a display of matching cupcakes to create one unforgettable centrepiece.

Inside, they chose:
🥥 Piña Colada
🤎 Salted Caramel

I've genuinely been biting my tongue waiting for these gorgeous photographs to come through because I've been so excited to finally share this with you all.

Lauren & Dave, thank you so, so much for trusting me with your vision. It was an absolute joy from that very first conversation right through to your wedding day, and I'd create this cake over and over again if I could! 💙🦚

You know it’s an unforgettable wedding when the photographer and the entire video team are sobbing behind their lenses! 😭🎥
Lauren and David’s sun-drenched wedding at the stunning Rhinefield House last week was absolutely spectacular. We were blessed with the most perfect weather, but it was the raw emotion of the day that truly stole the show.
When Lauren’s dad delivered his speech, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room—myself included! Capturing such an emotionally charged, beautiful day in the sun was an absolute honor. Wishing this amazing couple a lifetime of happiness!

The church door grabbed Rebecca’s veil right as the confetti started flying. No panic, just laughs and a brilliant candid moment. Proof, not poses.

Rebecca and David. Just a proper party from start to finish.
I documented the ceremony at Wimborne Minster Church before heading back to Parley Manor to let the day unfold naturally. No stopping the flow.

The best moments are the ones you can’t script:

Mid-ceremony, their little one ditched the pews and ran straight up the aisle for a hug. Later she was in awe of their first dance. Pure, unfiltered reality.

Grid Privacy: even when children give the best photos I don’t show kids’ faces on social media. Big memories, small faces protected.

Yes, Documentary photography can include portraits. My first visit the on Saturday. Check out the ceiling in the central atrium. Now that had to make an appearance in the photos didn’t it?

On an insanely windy day I joined Jasmine and Graham for their wedding at the on Gosport seafront. They did not give in to the elements, they had seafront portraits and an outdoor wedding in 40 knots of breeze. Super impressive, hats off. The resulting photos were worth the effort.

AI can fake a sunset. It can smooth your skin until you look like a CGI mannequin. It can even generate a "perfect" wedding crowd that didn't actually exist.

But it can’t feel the floor shake when the bass drops.

In a world obsessed with filters and digital fakes, Documentary Wedding Photography is the last line of defense for the truth. I don’t deal in "perfect." I’m staking my career on authentic photography for future generations.

The best moments of your wedding won't be the ones we staged (because we won't stage any).
They’ll be the messy ones:

The raw, tension during the speeches.
The joy on Dads face when he sees his daughter in her dress
The absolute carnage on the dancefloor.

I’ve spent 25 years and 600+ weddings as a Dorset Wedding Photographer capturing the stuff AI can’t invent: genuine human connection. No smoke and mirrors. No stopping the flow to "do that again for the camera."

Today’s Dorset sun looks a lot like this afternoon from the archives.

Blue sky. Wispy clouds. Total silence.

This wasn’t a “stop and pose” moment. It was a “get out of the room and breathe” moment. They were walking. I was moving. No smoke and mirrors required.

I don’t do fake. I don’t do “tilt your chin.” I just document the life of the day—the quiet gaps and the inevitable carnage on the dancefloor.
