I have joined forces with Nisha from Nisha Rajput Beauty Coach to offer 6 head shot sessions this Spring. We are offering 2 sessions per day on these dates: 16th March, 3rd May and 17th May. I’m always amazed at how powerful a photo can be and how they make you feel. I have a collection of books of images from Reuters news stories over the years and I can look at them and cry, they are that moving - take a look at these from the last year.

Let me let you in on a secret...your photos are not for you.

They are for your family and friends.

Sadly, one of my clients has just one photo of their mother from the last 15 years of her life because she wouldn’t ‘allow’ her photo to be taken.

Your family love you for you are, not who you think you should be or how you think you should look.

And the pandemic has shown that none of us can take things for granted...

It’s a cliché, but pictures do speak a thousand words about you and your work.

They can really help people get to know you, so it’s vital you love your photos, because they’re talking when you’re not.

Get them wrong and at best, you’re underselling yourself and at worst, attracting the wrong sort of clients or customers...

Get them right and you inspire real confidence in your future clients: your pictures pull everything together.

I pride myself on authentic photography to tell your story and take the time to get to know you and your brand, so your clients get to see the real you in your photos.

Bring on the hats!

I love hats: they can be fun, cute, cosy, snug, beautiful, cheeky, are definitely NOT just for kids.

Why not dig them out from the back of the drawer and bring them on your family shoot? They can add so much personality and these photos become favourites for years to come.

What do you love about autumn?

Is it the colours, the leaves, the nip in the air, the bright blue skies? Maybe it’s the woolly jumpers, the roaring fires, the morning mists? I can’t decide: I love it all.

And you don’t need me to tell you how stunning the trees look at this time of year: they make the most beautiful back-drop for photographs

And as the ‘Ultimate Season Host’, autumn keeps the kids entertained with bucket loads of crunchy leaves too!

When you think ‘family photo shoot’, what goes through your mind?
..‘The kids will be a nightmare and never sit still...’ ..‘I hate having my photo taken, so if I have to do it, I’m hiding at the back...’..‘These things take forever. When is it going to be over...?’

I hear these things so often, but guess what? I take care of everything and we have fun, yes, FUN!

I’ve got three kids of my own, so know what it can be like, but I keep them busy so they don’t get the chance to get bored, fidgety or worse!

So many of us decided long ago we are not photogenic and the thought of having our photo taken sends us running for the hills. You always seem to have that ‘Don’t you dare take my photo!’ expression in every one, so you’d rather not have any taken. But, I have been photographing people for a long time and know how to get even the most resistant amongst us to relax, enjoy the shoot and even to like themselves in the photos!

The family shoots tend to be around two hours long which seems ages, but time and again I hear people surprised at how the time flies – because they’re having fun! (I keep telling you this...)

So, if you are thinking of getting your family together to have some fun rather than just photos taken, then message me. There are limited shoots available in autumn as the days shorten and the glorious colours in the leaves fade quickly.
