I thought it was probably time I properly introduced myself…
I’m Jaymee-Lea, I’m 30, a mum of two, professional over-thinker, tea addict and now officially the face behind The JL Edit ✨
I’m based in Surrey and have been working in content creation full-time for nearly 4.5 years now, growing a community of over 75,000 across my social platforms. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredible high-end brands, work closely alongside TikTok and create content professionally for businesses and campaigns.
Before all of that, I actually worked as a hairdresser for 6 years — so chatting non stop, calming nerves and surviving on caffeine has apparently always been part of my personality.. oh and I'm basically a fully, qualified therapist too… if you know, you know 😂
But over the last year or so, I realised my favourite content has always been the real, emotional, behind the scenes moments. The moments that feel natural, personal and genuine. And with my love for love (yes, I’m a total hopeless romantic), branching into wedding content creation just felt right 🤍✨
I also have previous experience in photography and wedding photography, and honestly… I just genuinely love capturing people in their happiest moments. The happy tears, the chaos, the laughter, the nerves, the champagne popping, the tiny little details you don’t realise you’ll miss until after the day is over 🥹
My style is very candid, relaxed and social-first. I’m not there to make your day feel staged or awkward — I’m there to blend in, hype you up, capture the memories naturally and create content you’ll want to watch back over and over again. Think of me as the bestie with the phone ✨
When I’m not editing videos or filming content, you’ll usually find me reading a book. I’m a sucker for a small-town romance… but equally love a dark thriller that keeps me awake questioning everybody’s motives until 2am 😂
