I'm honoured to be a part of & District Art Society - KDAS's 121st Annual Exhibition for the first time!

I was absolutely blown away when both of my paintings were accepted 😱

They'll be on display — and available for purchase — alongside the work of more than 150 talented local artists until the end of June.

If you're in the area, do pop along and support local artists, makers, crafters and small businesses. Every purchase, share and conversation helps keep our creative community thriving 🤩

'Ascent from The 5th' 65cm x 85cm, acrylic on box canvas.

Is almost finished... the lens flare has been fiddly because of the textures underneath!

I'll bring out it's glow and push back the large white circle at the bottome tomorrow. Tempted to call it Dante's Ladder.

It'll hopefully be exhibiting at Kettering & District Art Society - KDAS's 121st Exhibition next week 😊

Another painting I'm thinking of painting over. I liked the colourful sphere, but didn't like the turn it took after creating those holes.

I've nothing against 70s Prog-Rock psychedelic artwork, but not on my walls 🙈

Bring it back to a solid sphere? Or look at abstract art for new inspo. (That's short, for Inspiration).

'Ascent to the Fifth' 50cm x 65cm hopefully on display and on sale at the Kettering & District Art Society - KDAS 121st Exhibition. It still has to be approved🤞🤞🤞

Needs a bit of tidying: the lens flare is a tad too bright and only 90% complete. The white brush stroke on the left will have a drop shadow. Bottom right quarter needs, ummm, not sure! I should know at the end. Then... the Ascent to Dante's circles begins 🖤

I'm slightly reluctant to paint over this fabulous purple! Yes it's patchy, but if I paint another couple of layers, it should look rich and deep (how I like I men).

Not quite Rothko, but it wouldn't displease me to stare at.

If I finish this on time, it will be displayed at the Rothwell Methodist Church for the Pre-Loved table-top sale on May 23rd, and/or,hopefully, at the Artworks Gallery by 😊
