📍Tetley Halls

Tetley hall of residence housed 208 students and the last academic year was 2005/ 2006.
Now in the process of demolition

I’d love to hear anyone’s uni stories if they went here! ❤️

📍Tetley Halls

Found some old uni photos in the abandoned Tetley Halls. Reminded me of being in my early twenties in the mid noughties too…

Anyone recognise themselves? 😂😁

📍Efford House AKA Ghost mansion

A late 18th century country estate served as a home, hotel until 1987 amd then a Carehome until 2012 closing due to poor standards. Was set to be demolished but here it still stands, trashed, forsaken and possibly haunted. 👻👻

Legends date back to the 1930s. Locals and caretakers reported phenomena such as a mysteriously moving kitchen dresser that blocked doorways, and phantom penny-farthings!

Nowt better to do than hang around police stations on a school night 🙄😁

📍Sarah’s House

A roof climb then squeezing myself through a top window, I made my way into Sarah’s trashed abode. With various vintage items including a Motorola console tv from the 1950s, a piano, vintage radio player, a 60s dolls house and so many more items made for a good explore.

If anyone has any history on this place do share xx

A house In my home town has recently been posted by a popular explorer (after I did it a few months ago)

The woman who owns the house msged me very upset when I did the explore back then. There was a family fued where the two people who own it (or one side) refused to sell or cooperate with the other one leaving the house as it is. The woman whose brother died (whose house it now is) has had a very long and nasty battle trying to sort the house after the death of her brother. She told me that seeing her house on social media caused her to have a meltdown. Her husband had also died within this period and so she was in n a “fragile” state.

She wasn’t cross with me neither did she act like a “Karen”. She was genuinely upset and so I took my post down

I think as urban explorers (especially with peoples houses) it’s important to remember these were peoples homes and will often still belong to the family. Being mindful of where you go and what you post is ok right? Let’s not be d****

Check out this bad boy. A 1950s Motorola console tv. Anyone old enough to remember one of these? 😂❤️

📍St Margaret’s Maternity Hospital, Leeds

A Catholic girls rescue home built in 1912. More recently a post adoption support service and to accommodate Asylum seekers. The building closed in 2013.

A good example of how buildings can change so drastically over a few years, here’s a selection of photos of the remains of the hospital hiding amongst the overgrowth. Nothing left inside, just a bit of graffiti, a lot of peeling paint and a piece of stained glass remaining.

📍Mr Bates little cottage

This tiny little cottage hidden away in the undergrowth belonged to Mr Bates. Clearly he lived alone with everything left very nearly in its place from the jacket hanging over the chair to the playing cards waiting to be played on the sideboard. Even the beds looked like they were waiting 🛏️🥱

With the winding stair case and cosy living, there definitely wasn’t enough room for the 5 of us 😂

Now the cottage is just waiting to be taken over by nature and we did have to beat a lot of brambles and nettles to find access.
