Had a little tidy up of the Edit My Snaps website recently...

I've used more complicated website platforms before this one, and while I love all the additional features and super slick design I just can't help but stay up 'til 1am continually tweaking settings and fonts and pages so figured it's probably best to keep things simple for now and actually get some sleep 🤣

Portraits that are taken to promote your business, products or for a publication can sometimes lack context or seem a little awkward. You may not notice it to start with, especially when you’re happy with the way you or your model looks. It’s a little harder to stand back and take in the overall message your photos are giving. Swipe to look at the before shot of this bright and vibrant photo and you’ll see what I’m taking about. This is great photo that might promote a chef, cafe or a healthy lifestyle brand but the model appears to be sitting on a bed in the original shot with a bland white backdrop, but with with some careful editing I dropped him seamlessly into a more appropriate scene - carefully masking the model, sourcing a background kitchen shot, brightening it to match the portrait and blurring it just enough to keep the focus on the model. I then added some extra tomatoes into his bowl for a bit of balance.
