I think this is the rarest bird I have photographed so far! And what an absolute stunner he is 😍 This little guy is a Bluethroat, and a scarce passage migrant here in the UK. And when I heard there was one hanging around not too far from where I live, I knew I had to try and see it 😍

Common birds deserve love too 🥺❤️

The Dunnock - probably one of Britain's most overlooked birds. Yes they're just little brown birds with no flashy colours, and they're common. But I think they are beautiful, and definitely deserve as much love as rarer and more brightly coloured birds 🫶🏻

Bird photography is 90% waiting, and 10% taking photos. I spent hours watching the herons in the reeds here, waiting for one of them to take flight so that I could get a shot 📸
