This weekend last year, I took some of my favourite photos of the year.

Had a bit of a funny turn yesterday when I realised it was a whole year ago. It honestly feels more like a couple of months.

I’m debating a wander around the seafront this afternoon to see if lightning strikes twice.

Exciting news everybody! 🍦🦀📸

Leaflets are here and ready to go! If you’d like some to pop somewhere, give me a shout and I can drop them off. Got posters too, if you fancy one. 🥳

Exhibition prep is well underway. Or at least… I’ve finally got everything into one space so I can see what I’ve still got to sort. 🥴

“A Nice Day For It” opens at the Shakespeare Gallery in Scarborough (opposite the market) on 8th July and runs until 12th July.

The Sunday also lines up with the Cobble Market, which feels like a nice little Brucey bonus. 🥳

Scarborough, April & May 2026

Finally got a new, modern camera. A pre-owned R6, but still a win. The mirrorless worm in my brain has been kicking off at me for years and yeah, you were right. My arm and shoulder are very grateful.

It means I can be even more of a menace now. 📸🍦🥴

if you fancy sending me the newest one over to blow my mind even more, I won’t complain. 😂

Exhibition planning is well underway. The main prints and frames are here, and I’m trying to decide which images will end up as the big feature pieces before I get them ordered.

I’ve also started working on some merch, which is genuinely very exciting. I always used to love picking up badges, magnets and postcards in museums and galleries when I was little, so it only felt right to do the same for this.

A recent trip to a ceramics fair has also given me a few ideas, and I’m now thinking of using my A Level in Sculpture to make some clay bits for the space, because there’s quite a lot of sides and walls to fill.

It’s all slowly coming together and it’s starting to feel like a real exhibition now. Which is slightly terrifying.

If I build it, they will come. 🥴

8–12th July in Scarborough. The 8th is my birthday so there will be sweets 🥳
