🧑‍🌾 Ruined farmstead 🏚️

Nestled out of the way of the main roads, slowly engulfed by the surrounding vegetation this once quite large and busy farmstead now stands empty and forgotten.

It’s only inhabitants being the local wildlife, having made a number of nests in the chimneys and some of the wall cavities where boarding has been ripped away. With fireplace’s throughout and multiple bathrooms, this large property would have been quite a beautiful and homely house when it was still lived in.

Now just a shadow of its former self time has taken its toll, with an extensive amount of rot setting in and the outside vegetation slowly creeping its way in through the windows and doors it won’t be long before this property is fully engulfed by nature.

With a number of large out buildings and heavy machinery left behind it’s clear that this would have been quite a busy working farm, it’s a shame to have seen so many of these spread out across the UK. Especially when farming was such a big part of our country and its history.

Still one of the most amazing moments from the trip, such a mad feeling being so high up. Ryanair

The holy and extremely beautiful Vatican, perched in the heart of Rome not far from the river Tiber.

Finally back home after my first time going abroad, travelling to other countries is always something I have wanted to do but honestly never thought I would get the chance.

Rome was an amazing city to walk around such a beautiful place with a lot of history around every corner, from ancient Roman ruins to some of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen.

Not only that it felt really safe with the amount of police near enough everywhere you go (didn’t see one that didn’t have a sidearm and big ass truncheon) then there was the military dotted about at major points around the city all armed, and quite friendly.

Not one complaint about the weather or food, Italian pizza is on point, and don’t get me started on the ice cream 🍨 🤤 I could eat that buy the gallon load. Also now have a major love for pear juice. 😂

I will 100% be going again in the future as there was tons I didn’t get to see, but all in all it was a great first time away.

Now to save for the next one, Las Vegas 2027 😜

The Vatican is huge in person, such a beautiful place with some amazing statues and fountains. Also feels quite calming considering the huge amount of people there, may take a trip back down late at night to get some night shots and see if it’s a bit more empty.

Had my first go on a e-bike in Rome…….. cobblestones everywhere make that a fun experience 🤣🤣 bump bump bump 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

First day in Rome itself after spending last night in ciampino, didn’t do to much today as I still have till Monday to go yet. So just got a feel for the place and had a rough nosey round just to see how lost I would get ( god bless Apple Maps 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 I may or may not have took a few wrong turns) I did find the oldest Irish pub in Rome though. That was a nice stop off, bit of music and a pint 🍺 never hurts. The Fiddler's Elbow, Rome i would highly recommended, lovely staff and decent prices. Good music too.
Back at the hotel now going to get an early night ready for tomorrow heading towards the Vatican and maybe the Trevi fountain.

Night all. We love you all. ❤️
