Every child deserves the chance to learn—but first, they need a safe way to get to school. 💛
At Ungana Academy in Kenya, many of our children walk for more than an hour each way just to attend school. When heavy rains and flooding hit, roads become impassable and entire parts of the slum are cut off. For days, sometimes longer, many children simply can't get to school.
We do have a bus, but it is old, unsafe, and on most days it isn't roadworthy enough to use. Too often it sits idle when our children need it most, leaving families with no safe way to get their children to school.
For one young girl living with a disability, the journey is even more challenging. A reliable school bus wouldn't just be transportation—it would mean consistent access to education, greater independence, dignity, and the opportunity to build the future she deserves.
We are raising funds to purchase a safe, reliable school bus that will:
🚌 Safely transport children to and from school every day
🌧️ Keep children learning during flood seasons when roads become difficult
♿ Ensure children with disabilities can attend school consistently
📚 Give every child the opportunity to stay in school and reach their full potential
No child should miss out on an education because the journey is too dangerous or impossible.
A school bus is more than a vehicle—it is hope. It is safety. It is opportunity. And for many of our children, it is the bridge between hardship and a brighter future.
