🌷A little reminder about sharing your images 🌷

You may have seen some recent conversations around children’s images, privacy and sharing photographs online.

Although the recent US court ruling does not apply to the UK at present, it did make me reflect on how I want to continue to approach sharing the families I photograph.

I already ask for separate, specific permission before sharing your images on my website or social media, and that won’t change. 🤍

I just wanted to reiterate that your consent matters to me. If you’ve previously given permission but have changed your mind about an image being shared, please message me — there will never be any awkwardness or hard feelings.

I’ll also continue to be mindful about what I share, particularly when it comes to children, and will always put their privacy and wellbeing before my portfolio.

I’ll still be sharing the beautiful, silly, messy and completely authentic moments that I love capturing — just thoughtfully. 🫶

I’m already ICO registered, and protecting my clients’ personal information is something I take seriously. The ICO’s guidance recognises that children’s personal information deserves particular care and protection, including when photographs are used publicly.

Furthermore, the consent form does not have to be black and white. If you’d rather images be blurred, or only images where your child’s face is not visible are shown, that’s completely ok and will all be discussed prior to your session!

Your family’s memories are yours first before anything else🤍

As I mentioned on my stories, I’m thinking of hosting some Sunflower Mini Sessions and I’d love to know who’d be interested! ✨

These will be held in a beautiful sunflower field local to Spalding, Lincolnshire and are perfect for capturing those golden summer memories.
