“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”
With hearts full of sorrow, yet overflowing with remembrance and love, we share the passing of our amazing wife, friend and daughter; Lesley. She left us peacefully in her sleep on 10th June surrounded by love.
If you’re reading this it’s likely you knew Lesley and therefore you know how truly special and extraordinary she is, which is why its impossible for us to even attempt to start honouring her and to quantify what she meant to us and all of the people she knew and loved in a social media post.
The depth of our loss and utter sadness at the moment is so profound that the mere thought of writing “she was” seems too inconceivable and unfair. We all knew this day would come and that towards the end she was beginning to suffer, it doesn’t however, make it any easier to tolerate.
We’d like to welcome you to honour Les’s remarkable life at her funeral service at Guildford Crematorium from 12:00 on Thursday 4th July. And then to celebrate her memory at The Surrey Cricketers in Windlesham from 2.30.
As a home bird who loved nothing more than a snuggle on the sofa with a blanket, she hated formality, couldn’t bare stuffiness and had real issues with the colour beige so in true Lesley style please wear something colourful and that makes you feel comfortable to say your goodbyes.
For further details please head to Les’s tribute page linked in the bio.
As we collectively look to the coming weeks and begin to navigate our lives without her, we encourage you to remember the pure unadulterated joy, compassion and kindness she bought into our lives and spread that s**t around, the world needs it, and in every moment Choose More Joy
