What a beauts way to start my 2026 weddings.

M & H had a quiet intimate wedding ceremony and private party in Sleaford.

The day was low key and perfect for them.

It just proves weddings don't need to be big, showy, expensive or more than you want them to be.

This is who....

I always knew I wanted to be a Photographer.
It all started with watching my Dad and "helping" him develop films and produce prints in the converted bedroom/darkroom when I was little.

I loved the wonder and magic of it all.

I still have those feelings and I'm so lucky being able to say that creating something special through photography is my job.

Blue Monday 💙
Typically the third Monday of January and is recognised as the years most depressing day.

Although it's not scientifically backed or is an official date, it's worth acknowledging its reminder for mental health awareness, the winter blues, seasonal affective disorder, depression and self care.

Mental Health awareness is something I feel very strongly about and has affected me personally in various ways.

People react to situations differently and what may seem like something insignificant to you can mean the end of the world to someone else. There's often many things leading up to just the moment that you see, so please keep this in mind.

If you are struggling, I just want you to know you're not on your own, you are cared about and are loved.

Awards.
This is a subject that I always feel a bit weird about. There are sooooo many different awards in the wedding industry all with different merits and levels.
Some you have to pay to enter, others are voted for by clients, some are judged by your peers.
There's those that are just a numbers game or a popularity contest. These are the ones that I don't feel comfortable being part of.

So which awards/competitions are the ones that actually mean something to me?
The ones that are judged by fellow Photographers and are purely awarded on images alone. Not on an accompanying essay about brand values or feedback from the past years clients.

has thousands of entries from amazing Photographers around the world and only the best ones are selected and given a TIR award.

At the end of each year the top 100 Photographers are announced.

This year I decided to enter images from recent weddings and I have made it onto this list!

So I can proudly say I'm in the TOP 100 PHOTOGRAPHERS WORLDWIDE!

Last week I shot my last wedding of 2025 and what a wedding it was to finish the year on!

Belle has nothing on the beautiful Gemma, and the golden hour was truly made of Disney magic! (Even though it was bloody freezing!!)

Bubble guns, fairy lights, a Lego hei hei, Pokemon cards and an intimate daytime guest list made the wedding day so personal and wonderfully calm allowing family and friends to spend time catching up.

The addition of the evening guests brought a party vibe. The whisky fueled dancing and endless joy and laughter was wonderful to be a part of.

So what do you do when it's November, the clocks have already gone back, it's a 3.30pm ceremony and there's limited daylight for your photos?
Get a couple of family members to round people up and smash the group shot list out in record time, meaning there's more time to play about with fairy lights and flashes!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a pub for a weekend to celebrate your wedding day?
Well that's exactly what Lorna and Andrew did last month at

Lorna's prep was a mix of chilled vibes and the best type of morning chaos with her bridesmaids and suppliers by her side.

When it was time to leave, we all walked through the pretty market town to the where Andrew and their guests were waiting.

The whole day was exactly what weddings are about - spending the best day ever with your favourite people in the way that suits you.
It was a day of no strict timelines, the music they wanted to listen to, a local venue with what they needed, caterers of their choice, accommodation on site, a surprise horse and carriage ride to visit a loved one with no rush to get back.
It was perfectly them and I loved being part of it.
