Wixams Station update – Morgan Sindall jobs appearing
While passing the future East Gateway Zone for Universal United Kingdom Resort earlier, I noticed several people in high-vis with Morgan Sindall on the back.
That prompted a bit of digging, and Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been advertising roles connected to Wixams Station, including:
🔹 Senior Design Manager
🔹 Sub Agent
🔹 Project Manager
🔹 Historic/closed roles including General Foreman and Quality Manager
The wording in the adverts suggests Morgan Sindall is involved through Network Rail’s Eastern Routes Partnership, with the project currently focused on design, mobilisation, utilities, traffic management and supply chain planning.
So while full construction may still be some way down the line, this appears to be about getting the larger Wixams Station scheme ready for the next stage. Network Rail’s public position that survey work is expected during 2026, with main works not expected to restart until 2027.
Still, the roles are a useful sign that Wixams Station is moving through the development process again — an important station not only for future Universal visitors and workers, but also for Wixams residents who have been promised a station for well over a decade.
