Lloyds Tour of Britain photo dump 🚨🚨🚨

Great fun watching the riders pass through Beverley and Ripon on stages three and four of this year's event.

Loved the energy from the Yorkshire crowds - cycling really is in their blood.

Coastal adventure (part 2)

My walking boots have taken somewhat of a back seat in recent weeks, largely down to the weather (I really hate hiking when it's too hot).

So I've settled instead for a couple of trips across to North Wales to help scratch the itch. The first was to Conwy, a town I know extremely well and which was virtually a second home to me for a time.

This area ticks so many boxes for me: the coast is right there on your doorstep with some nice beaches, there's a bustling marina nearby, a small, busy town centre with bucket loads of history, plus plenty of outstanding countryside for walking in.

Also took a short hop across to Anglesey to visit Red Wharf Bay. Sadly the tide was in, so no beach walking, but it's a lovely lunch spot. Also found out later it has a fascinating link to the creator of the Land Rover!

Sadly, this crucial environmental asset is under threat from river erosion. By signing this petition you can help in the fight to save the Keg Pool and raise awareness of its plight.
