✏️ What a fantastic job by this lovely student! ❤️

He joined me in my studio for one of my Drawing For Beginners workshops, where we explored some simple techniques to help build confidence and get started with drawing.

We learned how to use the grid method and cross-hatching, looked at the different grades of pencil and how each can be used to create different tones and depths, and most importantly, had fun along the way!

He did an amazing job with his drawing 👏🏻

You really don’t need to consider yourself “good at drawing” to join one of my workshops. I’ll guide you through the techniques step by step, in a relaxed and friendly environment. 😊

I hear this SO often from women when I tell them about The Myself Portrait Project.

But here’s the thing…

You don’t have to be able to draw! ❤️

This project is for women of all ages and all artistic abilities — even those who think they have absolutely no artistic talent.

I’ll teach you step by step how to draw your own self-portrait, and I’ll be right there alongside you to help whenever things get tricky.

Because I think we women put SO much pressure on ourselves to be perfect. Sometimes the fear that we might not be able to do something perfectly stops us from even trying.

But this project is about so much more than drawing.

It’s about trying something you never thought you could do, discovering what you’re capable of and feeling that amazing sense of achievement when you realise…

“I actually did that!” 🥹❤️

So please don’t let “I can’t draw” stop you. You might just surprise yourself.

That’s what my “You May Now Kiss…” Live Wedding Portraiture is all about. ❤️

During your ceremony, I capture that beautiful, fleeting moment when you share your first kiss as a married couple, creating a completely unique pencil drawing of the moment as it happens.

And this beautiful wedding was a perfect example of why I love doing what I do. 🥰

Right… I’m having a little ramble in this video 😂 but there’s actually a really important reason behind it…

I’m trying to raise £925 towards The Myself Portrait Project, and I’d absolutely love your help. 🤍

For just £5, you can make a donation to the project AND be entered into my raffle for the chance to win an A3 framed portrait of up to two people, drawn by me, worth £310! ✏️🖼️

Every £5 really does make a difference.

The £925 will help me pay for the final exhibition in March 2028, where I’ll bring together and display all of the beautiful self-portraits my ladies have created throughout the project.

But the exhibition is about so much more than displaying drawings. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on the silent struggles women face every single day simply because they’re women, and to celebrate the women who have taken part in the project and the journey they’ve been on. 🤍

I’ve been putting together a new promo video for my live wedding portraiture. The full video is still very much a work in progress… but I honestly couldn’t wait to give you a little teaser! 🥹🤍

This is my favourite part of creating my live wedding drawings — seeing my couples’ faces when they see their finished portrait for the very first time.

The smiles, the laughter, the “oh my god!” moments… 🥰

These reactions are exactly why I love what I do. It’s not just about creating a beautiful piece of artwork from your wedding day — it’s about creating a moment that you, your family and your guests can experience together, and a keepsake you’ll treasure for years to come.
