For me, being able to preserve a section of people's lives is the biggest responsibility and I love that so much. I want these photos to be hung on your walls and passed down through the generations so that your children and your grandchildren can know what life was like at that time. If you want a wedding that’s truly relaxing I’d say look no further than Emily and Valerio’s for inspiration. A registry office ceremony with their closest people before they headed off for a meal and then said bye t everyone and enjoyed the rest of the day at a luxurious spa hotel, just the two of them!

Absolutely love that! And it was such fun relaxed vibe on the day, they arrived and left together in their tiny red car, no fuss but no less emotional or joyous than a ‘big’ wedding.

I always say it’s so so important to choose a wedding that’s right for you, whatever that looks like.

From my last wedding this year and what a brilliant one it was. They had a lunch with everyone at the family home and then walked to the church together before the most beautiful service and a short walk through the woods to the pub. Super relaxed and personal… the most fitting ending to this year which has been filled with the most genuine, generous people and such lovely relaxed weddings. I’m not sure I could be more grateful!

I’ve got so many more weddings to share from the past few months but for now let’s enjoy this last little bit of Christmas before 2026 begins!

Smaller, non-traditional weddings definitely seem to be having their moment and I’m totally here for that. I love a personal wedding and for a lot of people that just means not a big ‘proper’ wedding but something with just your closest people. Here’s some of my fave non-big wedding ideas.

And don’t forget if you’re having a smaller celebration then I photograph those in Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge (basically within an hour of me!) Per hour weddings are available on weekdays and outside peak weekend dates and normally best booked closer to the date. Perfect for last minute weddings!

Glam, autumn joy for Vicky and Jamie’s wedding in Essex🍁

I’ve been waiting for that first properly autumnal wedding of the year and it finally arrived!!

Despite a day of pretty much non-stop rain we still managed to grab some portraits in the lovely gardens and the rest of the day was spent having loads of fun in the warm and dry! Including lots of amazing moves on the dancefloor!!

I’m a big believer in trying to make weddings as stress-free as possible.Let’s face it, there’s not much less romantic than stress!! After 10 years of photographing weddings you get a good feel for what makes a wedding less stressful and these are some of my top tips although I’ll have to do another one of these as thought of a whole load of other things now 😂

Is it weird that I always fall a bit in love with my couples? I leave every wedding thinking they were the best couple ever 😂😂 I honestly get to work for the loveliest, most interesting people. Sasha and Tom were so brilliant, a great sense of humour and a book themed wedding with loads of cocktails. Complete win 🎉

Here’s a little snippet. Included Sasha completely ditching Tom and running for shelter as soon as the rain started. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bride run so fast from her newly wedded husband 😂😂

They got ready at the wonderful and then onto which was looking perfect decorated with homegrown flowers and books. Tom’s mum had even made little favours from sea glass for all the guests which were so lovely.

And even though the weather was mental it didn’t put a dampener on the day. Just true joy from start to finish.

Maximum love for Lauren and Toby with this absolute gem of a day at the beautiful .

These two really packed in all the emotion, I was holding back the tears SO many times during this day and started re-crying when going through all the photos 😂 🙈I bloody love big, genuine, open hearted speeches and vows and these two were completely on the same page. I don’t think there was anyone not crying during the ceremony!

I loved their ‘escape room’ boxes dotted around so guests got a chance to explore the gardens and the dancefloor was pretty epic thanks to the awesome band and guests!! Plus all the great veggie food. And a big shout out to the because quite frankly I feel like jacket potatoes are THE food that is needed for drunk wedding guests.

Jessie and Jake at the wonderful in Suffolk. A complete delight of a day with these two big-hearted people and their wonderful friends and family. They have potentially the best couple goal I've heard, which is to get married and start rescuing pigs. I'm completely rooting for them and their pig rescue goals!!

Their barn wedding was so relaxed, they both got ready at their family homes, just minutes from each other since they met walking to school! Then onto the venue for a first look in the gardens before their ceremony and party. The weather was kind of crazy, alternating between hot summers day and absolute downpours but the venue choice was a total win as they could just nip in and out of the undercover areas!

After a hiatus from socials I’m returning. Mostly for the reason that I keep bumping into people who keep asking if I still exist 🤣 Still here, still busy photographing peoples weddings and families. Infact this year has been perfect, so many kind, interesting people. So many sustainable weddings and personal days that aren’t just a trend tick box event. And so many laughs, always so grateful to work with people with a sense of humour!

Alice and Matt at the gorgeous These two are an absolute ray of sunshine. The whole day was so fun and I’m in awe of Alice’s non-stop dancing in that heat in a wedding dress. What a legend!
