Saving a life should never be controversial.
When the call comes, RNLI volunteers don’t ask who you are, where you’re from or why you need help.
They simply go.
They leave the safety of the shore and head towards someone who needs them, because every life is worth saving.
I took these photos when I was out at sea over the last few months.
After the scenes in Portsmouth, perhaps the best response isn’t more anger. It’s more support.
Choose compassion over hate. Support the RNLI. Help them to continue to save lives at sea.
