Basket fit no go like this one… 😂😂
It was 2018 or 2019 I guess, meanwhile I have photographed him many times in my career as a photojournalist but always from zoom level: This one was at a private birthday party at Eko Hotel & Suites. I was there with my oga and mentor, now Dr Shola Animashaun 🙌🙌
Backstage, conversations were ongoing between myself and other random crew members…
He looked at me and said, “Man, you are funny ooo.”
I told him, “Bro, I used to be the official laughing stock of my family. HR department of disgrace. So now I am learning and working and taking my life seriously.
He paused… squinted… and asked,
“As a photographer?”
I said, “Yes now.”
Baba burst laugh like say NEPA just brought light 🤣🤣
Meanwhile this party was stacked, big names like and were in the building, so your boy was running up and down like an unpaid intern that i was at that time . I didn’t even get time to focus on the MC, our very own Basketmouth who I have been having small talks with. He was off course working and I was documenting the moments in real time behind a lens.
Fast forward to today… plot twist!
I just finished photographing his Birmingham show for this year UK tour which was titled “Moral of the Story”
now Moral of this story of mine is .. 😃
Basketmouth is still cracking jokes…. and I’m still here clicking shutters seriously 📸😎
Life no balance but God dey manage am 😂
