What happens when the weather begins to dictate where we can go, what we can do and how long we can stay?

The Forest is a short passion project filmed during a heatwave in the Forest of Dean. What began as a visit to one of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes became a film about our changing relationship with nature and the growing reality of climate change on our doorstep.

This film represents the direction I want Sky Forest Films to keep moving towards: thoughtful, cinematic storytelling centred around nature, conservation, sustainability and positive change.

Ten trees have also been planted to mark the release. It’s a small step, but an important part of building a more environmentally conscious film production business.

The short film follows my visit to the Forest of Dean during a heatwave. With climate change already on our doorstep, extreme weather is beginning to dictate how and when we experience the places we love, making those visits increasingly limited and bittersweet.
