Calder Valley Paranormal Society We are a collective of artists, hauntologists, researchers, poets, actors and historians who are fascinated by the occult, the esoteric and the unexplained.

We use the potential of paranormal activity as a source of inspiration. We use paranormal activity as a source of inspiration and interpret what we find through through folklore, art, film, history and literature. The subject of the occult history of the city of Leeds has come up more than once at our regular paranormal meet-ups. From the city's owl motif to some of the fascinating symbolism you can find on buildings around the city, there certainly is a lot that seems to touch on occult traditions stretching back even to Ancient Greece and the Ancient Egyptians. Shout out to the Wyrd England Gazeteer blog and the guide Layla Legard has created to Leeds' occult landmarks. What strange tales have you heard of the mysteries of Leeds? And where would you investigate to uncover it's hidden paranormal underbelly?
