💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... it’s been a minute since I last posted, sorry for the radio silence and thank you for your patience and continued support 🙏

Also thanks to Keiron for getting me over to Brands Hatch to capture his latest track weapon 🤌

Whilst the improvements on this car are very much “in progress”, an initial benchmark is a must with any project, and what better way to do it than hooning around one of Britains’s best tracks 😜

The car already has a raft of suspension upgrades, and some minor power ones too, but knowing Keiron there is a lot more to come 👀

Us 90’s like nothing more than to celebrate our golden age, so on Feb 23rd, I’m heading to C&M’s The Hut for their 90’s and 00’s meet celebrating modern retro machinery 🤩

That’s not all, I’ll be heading there with my camera (of course) and the fantastic folks from the Sussex based Motor Muse car club! It’s a reunion that’s long overdue, and to say I’m excited is an understatement 😊

So if you don’t like insane retro machines, make sure you’re not at C&M’s The Hut with me, Motor Muse, and the biggest 90’s and 00’s fans of the car scene on Feb 23rd 🤌

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... Way back when the sun shone on the British car industry, glorious motors like Liams’s Griffith were the fantastic result 🤩

TVR squeezed 4.0 Litres and 8 cylinders of prime British(ish) displacement into their brilliantly light and simple masterpiece. The block used to belong to Rover, but few know that they purchased the engine designs from Buick… small wonder that this small block speaks in such dulcet yet loud tones 📣

Onto the lightness… I’ve eaten my lunch from Tupperware that has more structure than the fibreglass bodywork, but I’m sure you’ll agree that nothing coming out of the UK in the early 90’s looked quite this handsome… myself included 😂

Emissions? Yes. Your point? Well it produces them. A wide variety of them actually, some smell rich, some combust, and some make you go light headed. Next question 🙄

When I asked Liam what driving this car was like, he chuckled and simply replied “terrifying”. Imagine putting a small block V8 into something that weighs as much as a Hot Wheels toy, and as sophisticated too 🫣

He even suggested that TVR should have offered a dot matrix printer mounted in the dash as an option… to print the very necessary personal injury waiver every time you start the engine 😬

So if you’re ever offered a white knuckle ride in one of these magnificent machines, you need to remember to ask about the unconventional door handle location. It was clearly designed by someone that had spent too much time sniffing the bodywork resin, and you’ll want an insight into their madness before you need to make a quick exit 🫠

That said, I love it. Especially with Liam driving, as he is rather legendary at slithering it about 🤌

Sometimes it’s something simple about it that you just can’t get out of your head, or maybe it’s a little in your face 👀

Either way you can’t help yourself but to capture the memory, savour it for another day when you’re stressed or need motivation 👏

That’s why cars and cameras are the most important investments I’ve ever made. Sure they are financial mistakes, but they feed your soul. They drive your dreams. They capture your memories, and that lasts a lifetime 🙏

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... Behold, the fastest way to turn Asphalt to Art, the humble track day! 🎨

Anyone else think that track days are the ultimate therapy? Everything else just pales into insignificance when you’re flat into Paddock Hill 🤌

You’ll notice I mentioned the first corner at Brands there because it is my favourite track despite the others I’ve lucky to attend and even drive all over Europe. That said I would quite like a Spa day this year 😂

The smell of tortured tyres and high octane fuel always signals the start of a good day for me. I genuinely love it, whether I’m watching, photographing, mechanicing, or driving 😍

As I wait to see what my regular clients book up this year, have a few of my favourite track shots from the past, with owners tagged where possible 👊

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... ’s meets at define London’s culture, full stop. No I didn’t miss the word car out, that statement was intentional 🫡

Why? Well just look at how varied and integrated this meet on Druid Street in the capital is. Cars from all over the globe gathered to share a passion. They are all uniquely modified too, interpreting unique influences from long standing traditions in far flung lands 🌍

Just like the people of London, these cars have colourful personalities and create a fascination that localises the international obsession of exploring the new and preserving the old 🙏

This event, in my humble opinion, was so much more than just a car meet. It was a good natured celebration that truly turned the 🤌
