No AI can replace the true beauty of Scotland.

We keep seeing images that look “perfect”, created by prompts and passed off as real, but nothing compares to standing in front of the raw beauty this country gives us naturally.

Scotland doesn’t need filters, generated skies, or imaginary landscapes. The mountains, lochs, coastlines, forests, castles, and endless light already create moments no artificial image can truly capture.

Every road, every season, every corner of this country offers something unforgettable for us all.

5 must do hikes in Tenerife

Save this for your next trip and send it to someone you’d hike these with!

1. Chinyero – Easy volcanic trail with wide open views, lava fields and peaceful pine forest sections. It feels like being on Mars.

2. Roque de Taborno – Short but dramatic loop with steep drops and incredible ridge views. Feels adventurous without being too long.

3. Paisaje Lunar – Surreal rock formations shaped by erosion, surrounded by forest.

4. Chinamada – Punta del Hidalgo – Descending trail with huge coastal views and steep drops.

5. Erjos – Monte del Agua – Los Silos – Lush green scenery and misty forest paths.

All of these are easy to moderate hikes, perfect if you want variety without anything too extreme.

The art of noticing / part III

Here’s a third series of shots collected over countless walks through Scotland and paying attention to the quieter moments along the way.

A reminder that photography begins long before the shutter. It starts with noticing. The more you pay attention, the more beauty you find.

Which shot speaks to you most this time?

Houses and ruins of Scotland

Scotland isn’t just about the views. It’s the homes that really give it character. Hidden cottages, old ruins, and places you’d probably drive right past without noticing… but they all have a story.

Some are still standing strong, others long abandoned, but that’s part of the charm.

Which one would you call home?

Torridon | Outer Hebrides | Assynt | Sutherland | Argyll

Is this the best short hike on the Isle of Skye or even in Scotland?

Save this for later and add it to your must hike list.

If you’re heading to the Isle of Skye and want something a little quieter but just as epic, Ben Tianavaig needs to be on your radar. We started the hike in the dark to catch sunrise, and honestly, worth every step. From the top you get unreal views over the Sound of Raasay, with the coastline stretching out below, rugged cliffs, scattered islands, and the Cuillin mountains in the distance catching the first light. Unfortunately it was too windy to fly the drone.

Hike stats
Distance: 5.5km / 3.5 miles
Time: 2 - 3 hours
Ascent: 424 m

Have you heard of this hike before? And do you have a favourite short hike?

The art of minimalism

Minimalist photography is all about keeping things simple and intentional. Sometimes less really is more. Using negative space helps your subject breathe and stand out without distractions. It’s about focusing on what matters and finding beauty in simplicity.

These shots were captured in Scotland, England, Tenerife, and the Czech Republic. Which one is your favourite?

Happy World Earth Day

We’re so lucky to live on such a beautiful planet. It’s easy to forget sometimes just how stunning our home is. Every day should be Earth Day, a little reminder to appreciate it and take care of it.

Morroch Bay

Collection of images from a job we did last August. The aim was to capture the setting as a whole, focusing on the landscape, the cottages within it, and any wildlife or interesting details we came across along the way.

Morroch Bay is a beautiful secluded coastal spot located on the west side of The Rhins peninsula in Dumfries and Galloway, Southwest Scotland. It lies approximately 2km southeast of the village of Portpatrick.
